He has a wonderful view of the world, and life. I wish more people were like this, it's quite beautiful.

You are a true inspiration. Thank you. I am now a huge fan of your work. I am planning on going on my first expedition the Amazon5000. I am excited. My only hurdle is to raise some money to pay my expenses. My heart is in the wilds of the world. Thanks for showing me the possibilities.

What he loves most; backpacking. He offers guides through the Sierras and motivational speeches. Wouldn't be surprised if hes has a sponsor or two.

he is a free spirit but at the same time a very motivated and "structured" personality. You can see it when he speaks and when he mentions his Excel spreadsheets of intense planning of his trips. Makes sense he was going to go into Wall Street initially..he likes the challenges and finding his own way to crush them.

Now it's 4 years later... no Wall Street... he's still hiking, running and living his dream!

I agree with your comments about enjoying this life. However I came to this conclusion rather late in my time. We must tell others not to wait. Eighty is at my front door.

Didn't realize 13 yr. old boys were so interested in Nat Geo, with all of the lame comments and "Firsts", etc.
