I said the same and currently waiting on shipments from palmstreet after buying a golden crocodile philodendron at Walmart and jacklyn at home depot this week 😅
My Ponytail Palm started struggling 2 years ago. Her caudex (trunk/water storage) started shriveling. I had her for several years, but I couldn't make her happy. Her roots were disappearing, so I put her in water therapy. A curvy vase, so her caudex didn't touch the water, but her roots did. After a year, she looked much better, had a healthy root system again, so I felt confident to put her back into her original pot with my go-to soil mix. I use equal parts Cactus soil, Orchid bark, & Perlite. When I water, she gets a little Cactus fertilizer. She is looking really good now, & for the first time ever, she has new green growth. I'm a proud plant momma !
Hi Ashley! I had no idea my Walmart Super Store in Scarborough Maine sold house plants. I really had to hunt for them but I found them. It looked like nobody is taking care of them, very thirsty. BUT I did find a, what I call a Polkadot Begonia and this interesting leafed small lime green plant which I found out was a Sweet Potato. It was 3 bucks so I figured why not. Walmart here really needs to work on their plant care and signage to find them. Love your vids. I'm learning so much. Thanks from Maine!
Hi Ashley I always liked it when you go to Walmart and share what they have they had some great plants now I know what to look out for when I go to Walmart again
Painted ladies are amazing! Had 3 plants in a pot since last summer and it was lush and beautiful all winter long. Now it started getting leggy, probably because I got more plants and she’s not getting as much direct light as she used to. I’ll have to put her in a pole… I’m just experimenting doing some self watering poles in semi hydro with a cord from the water reservoir to the top of the moss pole and I want to do a really good one for her :)
I saw this video pop up on my feed as I was headed to Walmart. I didn’t have time to watch it until today. I was hoping to find a painted lady philodendron, but my local Walmart didn’t have any. Instead, I bought a pink brocade episcia ($19.84.). Its leaves are so colorful. It gives me the same joy you shared when you bought that colorful caladium a few videos ago. I would also like to find that bromeliad you showed with the thin leaves (tillandsia cyanea “pink quill”). I’ll keep checking. 🥰
I just found a gigantic painted lady. It’s leaves are by far bigger than my head. It’s amazing. It’s a lovely plant. I’ve just always had a hard time sizing them up.
The Walmart I go to in Ontario Oregon had many of the Monstera Thai- Constellation for 40 . They were at the front f the store up by the registers. I passed.
Yes, get those plants! Walmart really surprised me this year with a good variety of philodendrons. Also, jealous that you got to go to a location with a staghorn fern. That's next on my plant list.
I got my ponytail palm years ago and it was tiny its getting there slowly. I water when I water about once a week ish. It's so lovely. It's in a bright window I'm so got I send the £1.50 on it. I'd recommend them.
Oi i might be a litte late. . I do have a "bonsai"pony tail palm, she gets watered when it rains, maybe once a month if not less often Tab water in austria is great but she hates it (brown leaves) Watered with rain w. the caudex swells and shes happy 🍀
Just a quick note Ashley A. I bought a tie Constilation at Publix in Florida. They also had several exotic plants I haven't seen anywhere. "Peggy's Plants orlando" has also bought 2 at 2 different Publix stores. I took some pictures. I would have to look it up but one was called "strawberry shake." Your friend Lynda God Bless you 😊
my pony tail likes to be drowned and then left alone until it starts to dry again. I don't just give it a little bit of water. I give it a lot of water and then let it be. It seems to like that. i have had it for a few years.
My daughter purchased a gorgeous Florida Beauty for my birthday this past weekend from her local grocery store, she said they had some Strawberry Shakes so we decided to go to the grocery store the next day and all the plants were gone! I can’t remember what other uncommonlant she said they had…Oh well…I at least got this beautiful Florida Beauty. My daughter is close to the DFW area in Tx, whereas I am South Central Tx. I’m going to have to stop by my Walmart tomorrow and check out what they’ve gotten in. I need another global green pothos…I don’t know how I killed my last one. I was so bummed. Your Walmart carries a lot of plants!
I found ppp at TJs for $10.99 , two came home with me( one for a friend), with two and three growth points super splashing , compared to the two ppp sticks I got a few years back $$$$ 😢
Before I knew better, I sized up too much when I repotted a rescue fiddle leaf fig, several months ago. Should I leave it as is now, or go down to a more suitable size pot? It’s terra cotta, and I’m an under waterer.
My 2¢ regarding ponytail palms: They are not palms. They are succulents. Please look into their care in that aspect, they need tons of light and are drought tolerant. Their scientific name is Beaucarnea recurvata, Beaucarnea is a genus of plants native to the deserts of central mexico. Beaucarnea recurvata specifically is native to southeastern mexico in semi-arid conditions, as such, they like their pots to be dried frequently, and it's common for their soil to not be aerated enough for their long-term growth. Fun fact: they can reach heights of 30' in their natural habitat! Additionally, when you water, DROWN IT!
My ponytail Palm likes water twice a week . I also use pro grow lites and sun in the kitchen . I recomend getting a FISH Tank . I have a 70 and a 45 gallon tanks and I water a lot of my plants with Aquarium Water . They go Krazy high Nitrate . I start my big cuttings ( Monstera Delicious, Adansoni pothos ex ex ) in the tank . Hangging over the side . Yeh sounds odd but they Root 4 to 5 times faster . I’m am A Plant Krazy Guy , I have well over 300 plants . The giants are all outside for the summer , bananas , uka common and the Giants I have over 6 feet , Palm ,miniature umbrella , corn variegated and common ,Chinese Fan Palm ,Tistar ,Congo Philidendren , pineapples monstera d , 11 hangging pots , I’ve,photos 3 kinds , Vican , and sweet peppers . And a big garden with to much to list . And the list for in the house well it’s way to many to list . I love Your energy and attitude towards plants , I love em to . Thanks Mom . 🇨🇦

Recently got that exact same size Costa Farms painted lady from Lowe's off their clearance rack for $9.98.

My Thai is from Walmart. It has the biggest leaves I’ve ever seen. Best $40 I’ve spent on a plant.
Awwwww she’s so beautiful 😍🐶
Polysporin works perfect on a bad tooth, make sure the gums are dry. Infection should be gone the next day. Pain gone immediately. :) Bless
Less than a minute in, but I’m happy Clare bear made an appearance. 💕
Wishing my local store did this. lol.
I found ppp at TJs for $10.99 , two came home with me( one for a friend), with two and three growth points super splashing , compared to the two ppp sticks I got a few years back $$$$ 😢
I found my Thai con at Walmart! But that’s basically all they had. Definitely not as many plants as the two seen here
Before I knew better, I sized up too much when I repotted a rescue fiddle leaf fig, several months ago. Should I leave it as is now, or go down to a more suitable size pot? It’s terra cotta, and I’m an under waterer.

Our wally got philodendron Thai plants in, full of mealy bugs. Ugh
That’s a bummer!!!
Walmart will let plants die before reducing them (it’s comp.who bring plant .)I told don’t have enough help to keep water)
Your Walmart is INSANELY stocked. We never get that quanitity or variety, ever..😢
Our walmart plant selection is terrible and everything is dead and rotted

Wow this Walmart is so stacked and can’t be in the charlotte surrounding area
Mantap 👍🌱🌏🙏☕

If it’s at Walmart, Lowe’s, or Home Depot it is not “rare.”
Thai aren’t rare anymore. They are everywhere now
