Yes,I was concentrating on what she was saying and then I noticed Milo and how perfectly he matches the sofa.🥰 Everyone should have decor that loves 💘 you unconditionally.
I found a small chair at a flea market and put it in a corner of my dining room; it looks so good there! That little corner needed something, but would have looked cluttered or crowded with something bigger.
I did that a few weeks ago. It didn't look right at first, but it grew on me. It looks so good with all the different upholstered and wood things in the room.
All of your videos provide solid high design advice, and they are always worth the wait. I agree with all of the pieces you recommended here. You touch so many people through your channel and 1:1 style sessions, and we appreciate you.
Good points...love the pictures you insert and how your apartment is developing/progressing!!! Glad to see sweet Milo and still would love to see a video on "Virgo" decorating style. Would you ever do a give away contest on one of your consults?
I loved this video, Baiyina. Very thoughtful and creative ideas. That's why I love your channel so much. You always make me think and reflect on ways that I can have my home reflect more of me - the me is that is now. And for that, I thank you! Looking forward to what's coming next. Blessings from California XXX
Great tips. Love a daybed/bench and large coffee table. I do not have an eating area right now but love the concept of eating on the floor on that large coffee table.
Barely halfway through this video, and I’m already thinking, this was sooo worth the wait! Thank you! Yes, benches and day beds are sounder utilized, and if you’ve got the space, use them!
Thank you for mentioning varying heights in our rooms. I sometimes think our living room is unstyled due to all of the tall and low pieces in it. And I have a tiny chair! Love your suggestions. Can't wait for the window treatment video.
Bayina! ❤️ This why you're my favourite home decor chanel. Your tips are actually fresh and interesting not like the basic tips we have heard 1000 times before. It makes me actually want to experiment more with my decor. Also, I love that your suggestions are timelessly elegant and not just the trendy decor of the moment that we will get sick of and will have to change in 3 years time. What I'm try to say is your are the MVP of the RUclips home decor community and I appreciate you. 💗
Baiyina I love your videos. Just last week I decided to buy two square coffee tables for a 98 inch sofa because I could not find a large one. I was glad to see you recommended a large square table. BTW I love your sofa. Your style is impeccable! I have to make sure the tables are no more than 2/3's the width of the sofa.
Love all your content and your friendly demeanor, thank you for all your wonderful advice 👍😁♥️♥️♥️ Also thank you for responding to my previous comment, I felt really special, silly I know, but I appreciate it tremendously and just made me love you more!!!!!
So worth it!... i look forward to ur videos ,I love ur design eye. All ur content sends me down the rabbit hole ... you have me researching kibbe for hours, deco furniture, skims...just everything . please keep them coming! ( pOisOnapple 🙋🏻♀️)
I will look into a cantilevered wall lamp for my dining area, since there is no wiring for the ceiling above the table, but only in the middle of the living/ dining room. I already have two little Biedermeier chairs in my living room and recently bought a vintage daybed, so we are definitely on the same wavelength about this!
Love the idea for the plinth. Then there's a place for sculpture. I feel like not enough people invest in sculpture, but a nice little bronze piece on that plinth will make your room look very rich and they're not necessarily that expensive. Love the burl wood one in particular.
I'm all about the small accent chair they make world if difference that usually surprises guest in a good way. I have a zebra print one that I just 😍. Love your tips THANKS!
You are always inspiring and making us rethink what fits best. Sometimes I think I have too many layers and then as I take them away I feel it seems too bare. Need a happy medium. Thank you
Thanks for all the tips, and the pedestal ..now I need one lol, I enjoyed our design session my mind has been spinning with excitement to get all my pieces, I think I might see about having the big coffee table custom made, all the ones I like on the web are like 6,000 yikes, thanks again!!
Such interesting advice 👏🏼👏🏼 and I really struggle with having a huge open kitchen and dining room and all the videos I see online are always about small spaces. So thank you ❤️
Love this channel sooooo much! I figured out that part about the bench or needing a chair to complete the look. I’m looking for a pink storage ottoman style bench for my living room.
Yes! Your living room is not a movie theater. Like the fresh idea of a large wall sconce over a dining table. I have an 'old' (20YO) 40" square coffee table that is too big for my space. But I haven't been able to cosign it yet. I know if I sold it n later on want something similar it would be an exhausting search. Arghhhh
Lol, I'm so fickle as a decorator, I have had at least 2 large square coffee/cocktail (yikes, which is the term now?) tables before now. I've also used vintage glass 'n' brass nesting tables and Thomas O'Brien wood Parsons nesting tables, to name a few. Latest coffee table is a 70's vintage Parsons 'sofa table' that I cut down to a 30" height. It has inlaid parquetry (I said it was vintage 70's!) and works pretty well. Thanks for your ideas and advice and I love you and your videos!
Oh! Room and Board has great options for huge coffee tables. I bought a massive cherry wood top with the black metal parsons legs. It my favorite piece of all time. I’ve never regretted purchasing it, not for a single moment. It makes our conversation area so cozy.
Can’t agree strongly enough with the large coffee table concept. Even in small spaces. I used to use small coffee tables in my apartment and it just looked cluttered. Then I found a secondhand IKEA coffee table for $30 with two shelves and probably four feet long and 3 feet wide, and suddenly my living room worked!
Hi Bayina! I’m a new subbie and wanted to know if you have any videos on decorating small spaces. Like a small house. I’m struggling to decorate and have storage space in my home.
Yes.i need a large coffee table. I do have a pedestal and small chair and a daybed. Going to look for a swing lamp. I have been collecting for years. Thank you for this info.
Thanks Baiyina. Can you recommend places where we could find the columm pedestals except for Chairish. Ive been trying to find one and it has virtually been impossible online and also been trying to thrift one with no success🙏🙏
You could build one, if you've got simple woodworking skills. It's basically just a tall box, so all you would need is four sides, a square for the top, some glue, and some clamps to hold it together. If you had the pieces cut from hardwood plywood, they would have a nice grain, and all you would need to do is apply a stain of your choice and then something to protect it, like oil or a sealer.
Love your dedigns, designs, I seem to lean towards a maximalist look...how do you know when it becomes too much? Or is it ever too much if you love it all?
Funny i just bought a knock off of that large arm sconce lamp for my small cottage (485 sq feet) im hoping it lokks right. The rest if tge furniture all seems to be meant fir large spaces only. Id like to see a video on things ti include that are extra inna small space. My lv is 12x15 so its not super tiny. But i think ur suggestions are too large
Awwwww..tiny chairs! I have a LITERAL “tiny chair” in my girl cave - an old, wooden kindergarten sized desk chair that someone once tried to paint turquoise…it’s all chippy and funky now but it’s a perfect accent to the room and a great place to park my Vera Bradley duffle….sorry..I am one of the VB crowd!……
Love Milo on the couch next to you-6th essential design piece.
My reason for coming to comment! He blends with the couch. 😂
@@audreypappas4793 Now everyone's going to be rushing to find a couch that matches their dog XD
True! Milo looked like a sculpture of a thinker 😄

Saw your Instagram post. Please don’t stop! I’ve learned so much from you!!! I love your videos.
Love the tiny chair, that’s totally new to me.
I found a small chair at a flea market and put it in a corner of my dining room; it looks so good there! That little corner needed something, but would have looked cluttered or crowded with something bigger.
Well, I just moved my tiny vintage chair with canning into the living room!
I did that a few weeks ago. It didn't look right at first, but it grew on me. It looks so good with all the different upholstered and wood things in the room.

I love the idea of the pedestal with a sculpture on top.
I agree with all of these! This is why I have a small house. Going to find a great bench now because of your inspo pics. Thank you! 😊
Your suggestions are always so helpful and chic. Thank you!
You covered 3/5 designs areas I am focused on today! So grateful to you.
Great tips. Love a daybed/bench and large coffee table. I do not have an eating area right now but love the concept of eating on the floor on that large coffee table.

Never disappoint! Insightful content ! Love your videos!
A foot stole, a fainting couch in a living/great room, a vintage plant stand for a large floral arrangement or fern, a small brass chest on a riser.
So excited when I saw this. Thanks!

THAT RUG UNDER YOUR SOFA HAS CAPTURED MY ATTENTION, SO FAR I LIKE WHAT I SEE, I FELT A SMALL CHAIR COULD BE USED TO HOLD A PRINTER OR ART ECT. 🫖

What’s the vintage store you went to?

I agree that a daybed or bench look great in these grand living rooms, but it would be the last place I would choose to sit 👎
