Before 3 months we went to megamalai by bike.. from mdu to megamalai... nearly 150kms when go thru chinnamanur route.. when we return to mdu we go by directly by aundipatti route.. it join in between theni, aundipatti(kana vilakku) tp megamalai adivaram and totally 135kms only.. but in some place there is more speed brakers... we reached megamslai by 10.00am and returned on 3.45 and reached mdu 8.30... bcoz 30 mins delay of rain fall on that day... its all private estate.. but our journey is very nice.. we missed out manalar river bcoz of time.. Private estate, very beautiful site seeing, nice road, no many hotels, no many lodges, no shopes, cannot enter inside any estates and dams, only people who are working in estate only having hut guest houses, scare of animals, some says some times there is land sliding when rain (nila sarivu) ... but overall enjoyable place that kodai + moonar combination
@@jegankrishna3712 no, just reach chinnamanur on very earliest, may be on 6 or 7am, then we can reach megamalai estate in 40 to 50 mins. ... u have to bring breakfast and lunch with u, but one option there is one small hotel in top of the megamalai... after seeing u need to return atleast 4pm from top to chinnamanur
@@jegankrishna3712 cannot stay just go after 6.00am very earlier and try to return before 4.00pm from top... be prepared to bring breakfast and lunch... i think one or two hotels are available... better go by bike or car... bus facility are very rare that is only from chinnamanur. . Try to avoid on heavy raining time.. if u r by bike then go with two or 3 friends, bcoz the local people said when its late evening then some animals are roaming...
@@jegankrishna3712 it is all in your budget and your choice.. megamalai is not like kodaikanal or ooty.. you dont have many places here.. it is just enjoying the climate and the place.. plan your trip during monsoon
