Thank you for making this video. I wasn't really sure what visdev entailed. I have friends who studied concept art and before watching this video I didn't understand all the differences between concept art as a whole and visual development. I'm studying 3D animation, but learning about other people's jobs on the pipeline is always really interesting. :)

Vis Dev. puts an emphasis on modeling and illustration is about communicating narrative, fine illustration and fine art involve aesthetics and the human dimensions and experience in the design. They are all models and all communicate information visually they just serve as different visual containers that are given different functions. I recommend artists to learn about semiotics, symbolic & visual anthropology and learn about what systems are in general.
