Great review on a great truck Dave! I picked up a 2022 Cadillac XT6 Premium Luxury, the Traverse's cousin, a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with it! Terrific looking and functional, great space and comfort, reasonably priced for it's segment, great tech and safety features, plenty of power and a very smooth ride!
Love the Traverse but disappointed by this refresh, particularly being a year late. I’d still take it over a Telluride or palisade but they are crushing the Traverse on tech. Great video!
I currently own a 2021 Chevrolet Traverse RS that I bought for $44,000 and I love it! Hopefully 8 to 10 years down the line I'll be able to buy a High Country level because I like all the features.
You forgot to mention the RS model which is between the LT and the Premier. I have the RS and just love it. It is loaded with the large screen/nav/ 360 degree camera (LOVE It)heated front seats and steering wheel (all active), operational parking assist, rear view camera, etc. etc. Mine does not have the moon roof nor AWD, but I chose not to have those options since I have no need/desire for them. Overall I am very pleased with the Traverse. VERY comfortable seats. Smooth, quiet drive. Won’t set you back in the seat when accelerating, but it after all it is an SUV, not a sports car. Acceleration is acceptable. Braking is good. Night driving leaves much to be desired. I am disappointed with the headlights. Yes, they are LED, no, they don’t even come close to my Lexus triple beam headlights which make night driving seem like you’re driving in daylight. I also wish the Traverse had cornering lamps like my Lexus. Lighting is a very big deal for me since I live in an area which is very dark at night with few street lights. It is a desert community, and attempts are made to reduce light pollution in our area. Bottom line: Would I recommend the Traverse? Absolutely, but I would not settle for anything less than an LT3 because I want the options that go with the upper trim levels. Even though the Telluride and Palisade are rated highest in the midsize SUV Segment, I would still prefer the Traverse. I hope long term reliability will be positive. As I said before, I love my RS. Except for the mediocre head lights and lack of cornering lamps, it has everything I want and nothing I don’t. I like all the now-standard safety features. Good on you, Chevy, for making those standard on all trim levels. Love, love, love the 360 camera system! it makes parking in tight spaces and negotiating tight drive-throughs (like at my bank) a breeze.
sad that Chevy is basically forcing the highest trim on people now. If you don't get the high country trim its a laundry list of things that you will be retro fitted for later. Basic things like a heated steering wheel not including at all. The things they are leaving off these cars at these price points is outrageous really. On top of all this most of the dealers are selling anything new as used with markups. Dealers want to charge a high deposit just to order with no known delivery date. The dealerships gm is doing business they really need to reassess as making them look awful to me.
@@mattotherstuff Reminds me of toyota, pricing crazy amounts for little to no luxury features. Great power train and reliability, but i'm not paying $40k for a camry with little to no more luxuries than the base model

I don't get why people associate 'screens' or bigger screens with something being better tech wise. Camera quality and guage clarity/speed are actually better on this than the Palisade and Telluride even tho they are smaller they work better which IMO is more important. Only feature this is missing is the blindspot cams but blindspot indicators in the mirror still work in the same manor.

Wished you’d do the same for the premier trim. I personally don’t find the high country as attractive with its price point as the premier which has more options color wise. I specifically want to know about the heated and cooled middle row. Whether it’s covered or not or if it’s retro fitted later Heads up display I think is only in high country. Memory seats is why I’m getting the premier and not the RS and if you can get the headlights and rear light at night it would be appreciated.
Did the premier get the same refresh features? Since the high country doesn't have a black trim/wheel package or capability to remove the bronze grille, I'm thinking about a well optioned premier.
