Before the ‘15 chip, the ‘07 “We Believe” Warriors were the highlight of the franchise. Crazy how things can turnaround drastically for a franchise.

BD ain't lying. I was in my early 20s. I used to see him, Steve Jackson, Monti Ellis, Mark Barnes and the assistant coach Keith Smarts in on of the baddest club back in the days called Jeffrey's. It on the 14th street around the corner from Broadway. I always saw they and the Raiders guys like Warren Sapp and Chad Woodson. Gary Payton used to Dj there. Jerry Rice used be there too. Sometimes, u will see at club Maxwell. Shout out to DJ Chey Gomez bay Area finest. Damme! Where did the Damm time goes. I missed the early 2000s. I used to follow my OG partner who used to make a fake ID for me. That was before modern technologies 😅

Saw them outside In & Out near the Collusium before it closed down. Plus got Foyle’s & Beans’s signature on my practice jersey at warriors camp. Trash record but one of the most exciting teams to watch & very respected in the Bay. Not to mention, they did a lot of community service during their time here. They really showed out at such a dark point in time.

We believe Warriors is what made me believe in matchup issues for playoff series. Dallas couldn't hang with them in the regular season, and then boom, looked at what happened in playoffs. My Raptors had that issue, too, with Celtics in 2020, which is so frustrating. Went undefeated in the warmup regular season games, and the only loss was to Boston, which was a sign of things to come.

I remember that second half of that season cause my miami heat was middle of the pack shaq and wade was injured and they caught fire and i know that steph and klay added some jewelry to the franchise but that warrior team made its presence felt even on the east coast everybody had their own team they loved but when the playoffs began i knew we was gonna lose cause we didnt have the fight of a champion and injuries but that warrior team was hell of fun to watch in my opinion if they had of snuck a title out of them there would be crazy warrior fans all around the world cause it was like watching ya local hood team in the summer leagues doing teams dirty and you felt that energy . That energy waa felt and i think the league wasnt ready for that type of energy cause it was run tmc 2 just with all hood dudes 😂😂

People always praised this team because they beat the mavs but if u look at their roster you will see they actually under achieved that year. In NBA history only 10 times has a team had 3 20 ppg scorers, and 5 of them belong to the Warriors. The 90-91 Warriors with Mullin, Richmond and Hardaway Sr., the 2007-08 Warriors with BD, Stack, and Ellis, the 2016-17 Warrior, the 2017-18 Warriors and the 2018-19 Warriors with KD, Steph and Klay. Outside of them the Celtics did it twice in 1966-67 & 2019-20, the Sonics did it twice in 1986-87 & 1987-88 and the Kings did it once in 2013-14.
Of these 10 teams only 2 of them won a championship (2016-17 & 2017-18 Warriors), 3 of them didn’t even make the playoffs (90-91 & 07-08 Warriors and 2013-14 Kings), 2 of them were swept in the 1st & 2nd round of the playoffs by the eventual champs (87-88 Sonics & 66-67 Celtics), 2 of them lost in the conference finals (86-87 Sonics & 2019-20 Celtics) and 1 of them lost the finals (2018-19 Warriors). Everybody thinks you need a squad like this to win a championship, and yet there have been more teams built like this who have missed the playoffs as there were teams built like this who have won a championship throughout NBA/ABA history.
Most championship teams have a Super star who averages in the high 20’s- low 30’s in ppg, then you have his sidekick who averages in the high teens - low/mid 20’s, then you typically have a stretch big man who can get you an easy 14&10 double double and protect the rim, and a couple shooters, one as a starter that averages 12-15 ppg on catch and shoot opportunities and one to back him up when he’s tired with a quick 6-7 ppg off the bench. Go look at the majority of the past champs in the history of the league, the majority of them have their top 5 guys just like I stated then a bunch of role players around them who average 3-5 ppg on opportunities 1 of those 5 players created for them.
P.S. I know this is an earful and for anyone who actually reads this, just know whether you agree with me or not, you’re a real mf G 😂.
