Your reactions are sincere and I always feel like I’m reliving Madonna’s career vicariously with your eyes for the very first time… hey! 💗 I’ve been a fan when I saw her Lucky Star video in 1984 when I was 13 years old. I’ve seen her live 9 times. I was 35 years old during the Confessions Era. As a DJ in the late 80s, I’ve owned all her albums and singles (including maxi-singles containing extended versions) on vinyl and have a collection of over 100 Madonna related Cds (albums, soundtracks, imports, singles, tribute compilations, promos, rarities…) and DVDs. I don’t even own a CD player anymore, yet I have most of it downloaded also. Today, I am a fan of you, Emily and Brenda, for documenting Madonna’s videography so well. Thank you. Can’t wait for the Confessions Tour! 🪩 I believe this is the pinnacle of her career. But of course, she is never going to stop! ❤️

So glad you covered this video. It’s no secret by this time why music historians and critics credit Madonna as having elevated the pop music video to an art form. She spares no expense and effort to bring together the best dancers and artists-she starts by spending weeks screening and auditioning dancers that have the qualities she looks for the mv’s and the tour-and that’s after she spends months developing and recording the album, and then conceptualizing/planning/organizing and practicing for the tour. We’ve been spoiled to enjoy the finish product-these behind the scenes look show us how art is created-it’s takes time, money, planning, creativity and a ton of effort. But the key is, Madonna brings out the best from these dancers and artists-they genuinely appear to have fun working with her. They appreciate her wit, charisma, humor and artistry. What struck me watching this is how many people were there to contribute and work. Imagine all this talent and effort coming together in a flurry of activity around this one tiny person. I mean, she created all of it from the ground up and it’s kind astonishing! And this was just for one 5 min video!

Cut to a few years later, there were some people arguing over some nonsense in a forum and they went like “why do you care? Madonna doesn’t even know you” and the guy posted the picture they took on the set of Sorry with the caption “yes, she does” 😂😂😂😂 the shade!

There is a very nice clip, probably more, from the rehearsals for the Confessions tour. It's incredible to see how hard she works, every little step she makes is repeated until she dreams it. There are many clips of her rehearsing for tours, I always love to see the backstage stuff, where you see a glimpse of her personality. Btw isn't that boy David? I saw a snippet of Lola and I think David.

Im soo happy we made it to the confessions era! 😊 This was the first tour I took my mother too! I was 20 at the time .... Confessions on a dance floor , the CD FYI fun fact if you ever listen to the CD or album confessions on a dance floor it's great because all the tracks transition into each other without any silence like one big song. Are you guys doing all the singles first and then the tour?
