@@AlanMearns-YesTheRaven see now i'm gonna feel mean but no it is identical to every low key cover previous. The Isaacs original has power and timba sown in to it but when people cover it they mostly just go with the strum strum mumble mumble. Go listen to Stone Sours cover, now that was good. Frog Leap do a great cover and of course The D, which is why this track is being done again all over the place

The originality, the inspired harmonies, the performance and guitar parts put it up there with the best covers ever made. It’s ok if you don’t like it, just go and listen to what you like. Go all in with the oomph whatever that is.
I guess what I mean to say is that this cover is not “okay”. It is fucking amazing in every aspect.
@@AlanMearns-YesTheRaven if it allowed me to post links i could give you rather a lot of this song being played in almost exactly the same manner. I had no wish or desire to engage in an argument. In fact my wish was for a talented duo to maybe see my comment and go oohhh that might be fun. Now you want covers really up there with the best may i suggest the Show Ponies cover of the Chain. Or how about Walk off the earths amazing cover of Crazy.
Some constructive criticism here. I think there is a lack of low mid range frequency in some of your songs. You two both have lovely voices, however I think maybe adding some instrumentation in the lower frequencies might help give you and your audience a bit more of a full dynamic range in the mix.
I genuinely hope this helps. I’m so happy that you two are putting in the work to become better musicians, songwriters, entertainers, etc. I also hope that you are learning about the business side of the industry so that you can capitalize on this venture. ✌🏽

Both of the girls voices are very similar sounding. Same goes for the guitars. They occupy the same general frequency ranges. How they proceed forward is up to them ultimately. I think we all know that at the end of the day nobody has to change to appease my tastes. I’m just trying my best to explain what I am hearing. I may not quite be communicating these ideas completely. But I am trying to be helpful. The three of you are all creatives. You’ll figure it all out.
The sound they’re going for is a folk duo mostly with 2 voices and two guitars.
Any additional ambience and bass has been added to not take away from their live sound.
Guitars typically have too much low mids going on which can cause problems. I think this recording sounds very full and lush across the full spectrum. It’s a delicate balance not adding anything that distracts from their very nuanced arrangement on both guitars. ❤
@@AlanMearns-YesTheRavenI realized that my comments were based on listening to these tunes on my iPhone. That was my first foolish mistake.I went back and gave it another listen with my newly purchased Sennheiser Accentum headphones and it sounded much better immediately. iPhone speakers do not do the mix the justice it deserves. I apologize. Reminder to self. Wear headphones when listening to music. Lol. I don’t have all the answers. Making these mistakes comes part and parcel with growth.
