Good idea for the video, interesting contrasts, good work Alan. Good song, I think your writing is getting stronger. If you don't mind me saying it would be better if you had a bit more production. There's a difference between balancing tone and getting relative volumes right and then actively producing a track. Your voices could do with more dynamics so some things come through stronger and some lighter, and that works with the instruments too ( add more swell when all the instruments come in towards the end for instance). Please don't take this as criticism, this is what you need if you are looking to go to the next level, I worked in London recording studios for a long time and it's the difference between a 'balanced demo recording' and a 'produced track' that can really make the difference, and least IMHO. Keep at it, the audiences will come! :)
