Thanks, It's definitely one of the more interesting looking engine configurations, which is nice because it means you can make a feature of it. Thanks for watching.
That matt silver and black is tasty. Im shure you are in love with that machine. Always since Ive been a boy thought that Moto Guzzi is something realy special. Maybe some day.
I enjoyed your short insight to your family wiring and working together on your bike. Nice! I enjoy your content and and your presentations. Especially now that you decided on the V7 ii though iii would have been cool too ;) Honestly I think you stand alone in that you have a MG and are sharing it. Thank you! Your videos makes my dreams to own a MG that much more real. Cheers!
@@RarefiedRoad :) Sorry to ask this and I apologize if you already touched on this in your videos thus far, but how would you describe the power delivery/characteristics between the ii and the iii? I've seen your videos but don't remember. I would take one for a test ride but wasn't able to transfer my motorcycle certification/license to Germany. Thanks!
Super cool, man. The sound of the Mistrals and the look of the transverse V go a long way! Nice touch with the lower bars too. I also like that the purchase price didn’t break the bank 👍🏻.
keep us updated with this honey i cant decide between the rough and the carbon ( even though it reminds me of a red back spider) the plain black great to.
So glad to have found your channel. Great videos. I just bought a 2016 V 7 ii and have put 1,000 miles in the past few weeks. Curious where other v7 owners rpms are while shifting and cruising. I’m coming from much heavier v twins and seems the guzzi wants to hang between 3500 and 4,000 for cruising and 5,000 shifting. Is this what you find too?
You seem quite tall. How do you find your riding position? Is the knee angle too sharp? Do your knees go over the humps on the tank? Thank you for the video. Very enjoyable and informative as well.
I fitted the Motone indicators to my V9 Bobber. They fit really nicely with the turn signal brackets meant for water cooled Triumphs. The plastic stock ones are a bit flimsy. Go ahead... they'll look great.
Love it. I have the same model with a stein dinse back. I also changed the shitty Pirellis to Metzeler and now the bike feels completely different and precise. Have you thought about going spoked wheels? I'd say it looks excellent on the Stone II.
I really like the look of a spoked wheel but I think they're quite hard to swap aren't they? My brother was thinking of swapping them out on his R100 and I remember him saying it was difficult to do if it didn't come with them originally.
@@oliverjosshvac2101 Ithink all the V7 wheels are interchangeable. If you have the dosh you could go the tubeless route too and get some Kineo wheels for it, I love mine! :-)
Great video, given me a few ideas for my V7 Racer. Question re the under bar mirror: will the bracket fit on the bar between the brake reservoir and bars? or us it too tight? I'm looking to remove my bar end mirrors and just have one, but need to be precise as I've clip-ons and it'll be touch and go for clearance of the tank.
Thanks. I actually don't think this mirror will fit where you're wanting. It's larger than I thought it would be so there was no way of mounting it on mine under the bar on the inside of the throttle without having it touch the tank and limit the turning circle and I'd imagine it would be even closer with clip ons. As soon as you start to position it so that you can actually see behind you it takes up too much room. BAAK motorcycles do an under bar mirror though that extends a little further and mounts in the original stem from the reservoir you just need to flip it. Again though this is for the standard bars so I don't know if it will work on the clip ons but you can email them to check.
Rarefied Road Cool. Yeah, I’ve seen that mirror from Baak and hoped it would also do the trick. Albeit, I think it would put it a little too far under my arm so I would need to move my head a little more than I would like to see it. Always the same with underbar options though eh? Style over function.
Nice mods ;) Are those big bore headers too, from Mistral? I'm thinking of buying same exhaust. Not sure if i should go for set of bigger headers too. Is there any noticable sound difference?
Thanks. I think you can get enough improvement from the Mistral slip ons to be honest, you don't need the full system necessarily. Mine still has the stock headers and it still sounds good.
The whole poser thing is stupid to me and its only present on the internet. If i could afford a Norton I’d buy one, WHO WOULDNT??! I just bought my wife a 2018 Street twin. I ride a 2017 speed triple S. Her street twin is fun as fuck, i love the thing. It’s your money and life is too short. Ride whatever you fuckin wanna ride. Moto Guzzi’s are gorgeous.
Thanks Jool, I completely agree with you. I just get used to defending my position to people who don't get it but you've hit the nail on the head, these retro machines are all about no fuss fun.
Liked for the family wiring segment alone
Beauty bike! I ride a Stelvio and love it because it has so much character.
Character goes a long way
*That sound!*
Good right?
@@RarefiedRoad These V7's with the Mistrals or Agostinis pretty much the coolest sounding bikes.
I want a VII. The look is insane and I love the way they mount the engine. Your bike is looking great.

This is beautiful. I’m getting my license somewhere this year and you own the exact bike i want, with the exact specifications i like. Very nice
Some nice tasteful mods on the villte V7 bud! :-)
Thanks
Alloy mud guards are awesome!
I really like the raw brushed metal look
Great bike and some great looking mods 👍 keep us posted!
Thanks. It'll be in more videos to come.
Very nice review of a bike that should be my next one. Thanks!
You're welcome
I wondered why you mounted the mirror on the throttle side. Then I remembered, you guys ride on the left side of the road.
keep us updated with this honey i cant decide between the rough and the carbon ( even though it reminds me of a red back spider) the plain black great to.
They're all good. The rough probably looks closest to this in style but I've seen the carbon and they stand out in the flesh.
Fantastic!
Thanks Adam

Yeah I'd say that sounds right to me, although I'm pretty happy to hang on up to 6,000 before I change if I'm having a faster ride.
Cool mods, loving it.
Thanks man
May I make a suggestion!
Rear Intercators would look better a bit further. back.
Great bike and tastefull mods love it!! Good choice
i disagree
I really like the intercators where they are.😏
Thanks man, I'm probably going to keep tweaking stuff the longer I own it.
Another fine video. Bike looks great and really....sounds great.

Tastefully done, thank you for sharing.
Bikes are like tats are like potato chips..... I want lots of them.... that said, one of my next two bikes WILL be a Moto Guzzi!
I'm yet to get around to my indicators on the v9 hehe. Considered yellowing out the headlight/grill protector? Maybe leather side bag? Niceeeeeee
So many tweaks, so little money. The indicators make me very happy though, hate those plastic originals.

cracking job! nice one!

Give a pair of decent shock absorbers to this bike, it's a big improve!

It would

Def a fan of the BAAK side covers, considering selling my factory covers to get‘ em. I assume they feel sturdy?
They do, It's a simple installation and the finish is pretty good.

How hard is it to wire the front turn signals? I'm having some issues installing the front turn signals :(
I don't remember it being too difficult
I test drove a V7III 2020 Special and engine ran rough at about 3000 rpms. Is that normal and will it improve with age? Or is something wrong?
It shouldn't run rough, I'd say that one might have had a fault.
everything is good but the front fender is fail
Great video as always, however, please don't turn all American on us, we have mud guards not fenders.
😂Yeah it felt wrong coming out of my mouth, sorry
