I'm a knife maker. I knew that blade was going to snap. Those Spyderco blades don't do well as pry bars. I'll send you a beefier clip point fixed blade with a kydex sheath, orange g-10 scales so ya won't lose it. Sad day for that blade indeed.

Quite the adventure! The beach you found is beautiful and very secluded. Perfect for weekend getaways. Sleeping on the boat was the better solution though. Not knowing exactly how the tide was going to act and not wanting to damager your awesome little boat. Other than the 1/4 kilo of pepper, the CT looked delicious... lol. Fortunately it was large enough to pick off and not ruin your meal. I'm hoping one day you will get a sponsor for a nice, half million dollar or million dollar yacht. Complete with a couple births, a couple heads with showers and a big galley where you can cook with all the creature comforts from home. You have half a million subscribers, I know it can happen! Another great video, thanks mate!

Another great video love the island camping vids. If you want a suggestion (which you must get heaps of, apologies) pack a couple of tube fenders if you want to get the boat off the beach if you miss the tide, lift the front put 1 under the keel it'll slide easily over the sand then when that 1 gets halfway down put the other under the front and push when the first slides out the back take it to the front and repeat. I've pushed a boat easily half again the size of yours hundreds of meters over a sand flat doing this and while it wasn't easy it was very doable and got me out of a very uncomfortable night.

And don't forget the solar panel you were talking about.

It reminds me of fishing and camping with my dad, we always had things go wrong and at the time it seamed like the end of the world. So many people today try to portray a fake perfect life, which to me is no fun.

An over the top option for leaving the alloy boat anchored is to tow the red boat and use it as a tender to get on/off the beach.
What most do is to pack a very small kayak for beaching.

For opening coconuts - find a stout short stick - sharpen it both ends - push one end into the sand, then ram the coconut onto the sharpened end that is sticking up - the push on the coconut - it will start to peel away the husk.

There was a great episode of
'The Andy Griffith Show' in the later years when it was in color, , or maybe it was
    'Mayberry RFD'.
Howard Sprague had worked all his life, saved his money, and decided to retire on a remote island where the weather was perfect, the beach was perfect, no traffic, just idyllic splendor.
Howard moved there and in a short time went into a daze, just sat and stared blankly ahead with his mouth open.

Sorry about your knife, the siren is one of my favorite fishing knife. Unfortunately while LC200N is ultra corrosion resistant and has very good edge retention, it is not a tough steel. For prying and hacking carbon steels excel but are prone to corrosion. You should look at knives that employ magnacut steel, they have an amazing balance of toughness, corrosion resistance, and edge retention but come at a price.

Far heavier than your little tin boat and two of us put it in and pulled/pushed it out. I am sure if you looked around you could find a couple that would roll up no bigger than a dunny roll.
