That was a solid test, no doubt about it. How does that evnroll putter feel off the face? I play the ER2 and love the feel, it really helps on those longer putts. When I played the softer insert style putters I left every putt way short.
This is an interesting result, thanks for sharing. I would be curious how many of the long putts ended up being left in 'not gimmie' range. Because a 3-putt is the real negative result from a 30 ft putt. Even the touring pros make less than 10% of their putts from that distance, a real success is leaving the ball within say 2 to 3 feet of the cup (what should be >95% make rate on that 2nd putt) versus leaving it farther away and eroding that make % by a lot and resulting in a lot of 3-putts.
ive had all of these. right now i have the axis one rose and odyssey square to square. ive found i dislike the forward press shaft lean on most of these. i just ordered the new lab oz with zero shaft lean....if that doesnt work im done with zero torque, honestly they have been terrible for me. with slight toe hang mallet putters i seem to be a great putter compared to my friend with similar 2-7 caps. so not sure why i keep spending money. lots of money...anyway looking forward to my $750 orange oz.1 putter.
I tried this putter quite extensively a week ago. I found that reverse hosel to be a distraction when focusing on my putt. It sticks out right in the area of my focus. It’s not quite as bad as Evnroll’s blade model.
My experience from switching from big mallets (face balanced) to my Mezz1.Max is that you'll need to change your technique and setup, as in try to position your hands in a way that they are no longer tempted to unconsciously(!) manipulate the putter face, and let gravity do the work instead of accelerating through the ball, i.e. working out a system on how far to take the club back for which distance and slope. Takes a lot of practice, but I had such a lousy technique anyway that I didn't mind changing it 🙂 Putter will take care of the line and roll by itself, that's 2 less things to think off while standing over the ball. Which is a big thing for me, because I generally can see the line pretty well, but just couldn't get the ball started that way. For those suffering from the same, zero-torque putters are a blessing.
Why haven't we seen a direct comparison between a gamer and a zero torque putter on a Quintic or Sam Putt Lab? This would seem to be a simple test and we would see verifiable data. We use launch monitors to compare irons, drivers and fairway woods. Why not putters?
Nobody really talks about the Honu putter. It's also a zero torque putter. Mr. Short Game made a video about it a few years ago. But it never really took off like LAB.
I went to an Evnroll putter of this type about 2 years ago … it’s the ugliest putter I’ve ever seen, but my short putting has improved massively, from 6ft in I feel like I can’t miss, sometimes I do, but the confidence factor and the actual results are vastly better than any putter I’ve used before
I'm skeptical that this is a legit way to test. Maybe put the on a pendulum type putting machine with varying grip pressure and varying face locations.
@zahimiibrahim3602 We are talking torque, so if you had a machine that could somehow measure that, then that would answer a lot. Project Farm would understand. There is zero objectivity in testing like this.
I love playing golf with money on the line with people who buy into all of this nonsense. I know it’s gonna be a good day because they have no clue that speed is everything and all of these concerns around face and line are just distractions that help win me money. Thank you very much.
You are the perfect exemple of the type of player i dislike to play with…as a matter of fact… NEVER play with. It’s a game for pleasure …..you’re a gamer….so go the Las Vegas and fill your brain.
@@aliasErEf Let me guess. You show up to a difficult course at 6am where you play the tips and proceed to roll the ball off the 1st before setting off on a 5 hour round?
This was so informative, thanks again for doing these.
Great video. I enjoyed seeing the differences between the three of you.
FWIW: I've never considered carrying/using two different putters. The idea has merit and warrants testing. Thanks for the idea/suggestion.

Haha man I’m the same way. Mezz was the worst I’ve ever putted and a cheap off the rack odyssey has been the best. But I keep looking 👀
yeah i struggle too with 2 labs, rossie to the rescue
I'm with you on the forced shaft lean. Not a fan of that. One reason I like the Evnroll.
Tell me what you guys are struggling with!!

Very informative. Somewhat surprised at the size of the difference and that 5/6 showed advantage to evenroll.

Totally agree that you need to change how you grip (tension) and how big a stroke you need.

Great video
Ill stay with my 38" O Works with a 30 counter balance. It is true though u have to hit in the middle. The edges will move unless u grip tighter
thnx guys, grea test!
Glad you liked it!
Would have liked to see short/ long and left/right distances to see dispersion.
l play with a couple guys and has the lab and l can see the ball rolling end over end every single putt.
Nice explanation...maybe Lab vrs e
How do you duff a putt? It’s the easiest stroke in golf! Yah… I’ve done it too.
Golf is humbling.
This would have been nice with a couple of zero torque putters: LAB, Odyssey, etc.
Nobody really talks about the Honu putter. It's also a zero torque putter. Mr. Short Game made a video about it a few years ago. But it never really took off like LAB.
Love my honu
Zero torque usually requires a learning period. Given these guys picked it up, did the test and were better with the zero torque putter is telling.

Tried the Evnroll putter the results were the same as shown on this video. Hopefully Santa doesn’t have sticker shock
Still better than the LAB $$$
Imagine how different it would have been if they were fitted for the Z1 before the test..
Blink-182 I miss you playing in the background on the last couple shots there lol
Not getting what the measurements are on the 30 foot putts. You weren’t 15 feet away on a 30 foot putt ever
Added up inches left on all putts I believe
@@chriscollier3197 ah add up! Thank you 🙏
Sorry I didn't make that more obvious. Yes, total distance of every miss in inches. Holed putts were zero.
@@EFGMC you’re good! First video of the morning wasn’t processing much lol

If it's on a machine what difference will grip pressure make.

Who is so idiotic to use a Z these days

The idea with these is that they square easier and therefore you don't have to worry so much about line and can concentrate on speed.
so if i hit it on the wrong start line but with the right speed I am good?
@@krusher74 I would say no, you're not good. Period...

Unless all three golfers were properly fitted for their gamers and the test putter, comparisons can’t be made about performance.
