    Great vid, like the tip about not pushing the hose too far up. My gripe is the o ring lugs, I have the ones where it’s lugs either side and depending how it squeezes down I do get leaks as it’s squeezed the rubber with it. I notice yours just had the one lug.

    Dave do you find the univalve has an issue on the battery life of your leisure battery at all?
    Reason I ask is our leisure battery doesn't have a split rely on it so it doesn't get any charge when the engine is on

    • @squeakycleandave1
      @squeakycleandave1  2 года назад

      Hi Scott
      The only way I can see it effecting your battery is to prolong the life of it between charges.
      The Uni-Valve is so easy to use that you can even turn the flow off between windows if you want which would mean your pump is running less so drawing less charge from the battery.
      Hope this helps a bit

  • @KieranFarnes
    @KieranFarnes 2 года назад +1

    Nice video, thanks for the explanation. I've been using these for a while and still can't see a better solution. The only issue I have is when it comes to putting my Extension section on my CLX 27. If I fit it like this as the instructions state, it makes it impossible to fit the extension section, so I've got a push-fit straight connector between the univalve and the gooseneck. That way I can take the gooseneck off to fit the extension, then put it back afterwards. Surprisingly I've never had the hose pop out of the connector, but I don't trust the set up entirely. Any ideas on how to make this better?

    Nice work pal....I'm looking to fit my first uni - hence I watched it like a hawk...on the direction step it's not clear (at least to me) which way it should be pointing...you pointout about the collar but don't say where that should be pointing i.e brush end/base of pole ...also it's not helped when the shot zooms in/out it flips (like looking in a mirror - its' reversed - one sec collar rhs next shot collar lhs)...and at one point you've got the black version pointing oneway on the bench and whilst holding the blue pointing the opposite direction...watched its several times and I'm still not 100% - would be good to have the brush sat in shot showing direction or assemble it into the pole (to be fair pal - the product should have an arrow on it showing water flow direction) cheers though...I'm going rewatch it a few more times...ok edited this comment...I've deduced at 00:10 based on your old hose and the length of pole hose the direction(later on you say you fit them to the top of the pole - so short hose is top end??)...but it's not clear...I'm going with end with cap to point to pole base...non cap end to point to brush...I hope! Further edit which you can steal ;-) Top tip...gently pull the barb with the 'cap' end it should pullout, this is the 'bottom end' pointing to the base of the pole...

    I may be asking a silly question here. I use a Gardiner SLX 25 with a plastic gooseneck. I have a univalve fitted. With the o clip sitting on the outside of the gooseneck, how am I ever meant to use another gooseneck if the univalve seems permanently fitted to that gooseneck?

    • @squeakycleandave1

      Nathaniel Leitch the best way of doing it is to use the proper hose stay from Exceed Innovations. That way you don’t have to cut your o clip off every time you change your gooseneck

    • @squeakycleandave1

      Ray Salisbury the way I do it is to snip carful you through ears with pincers starting at one side and working across the ear a little at a time so you aren’t trying to cut it all in one go

    • @markbarrow19
      @markbarrow19 2 года назад

      Get a coupler connection between the pinhole bud failing that if it's too far gone, cut the excess hose to as close to your o clip as possible then use your pincers on the end of the univalve/ valve etc to each of the ears on the clip to slide it off, hope this makes sense 😉
