You normally create fish habitat in your pond builds. Creating beaver habitat is a first. The homeowners thank you and the beavers certainly are I am sure overjoyed at your progress. Can you bring us back later for an update?
Chris has a job every little boy who owns excavation equipment Tonka Toys and loves playing in mud would be jealous about. Most sculpters use clay. Not Chris, he does it with mud, grass and rotted logs. This time it's to make Beavers happy. 😊
AWSOME AGAIN! Let's Dig 18,Beavers will love it,along with the ducks, deer and ALL wildlife, have to wait for the fish 🐟 ❤️, SOOO COOL my friend 😎 😀 Thanks for sharing again 👍 😀
Beavers will be thrilled how you rebuilt the dam for em. Great work in such muddy conditions Chris. Success in a mud pit is dependant upon your measuring ability's. You make it look so damn easy.
Your ability to grade mud was very impressive, Chris. Loved this series, very different, unique and relatable. That should all flush out nicely with spring green up. A little contractors mix and matting on those slopes/dam would go a long way.
I’d like to see this pond again when it’s full of water. It looks so much better than when you started but it would look much better if the other land owner would have let you clear out his side too. I’m a little concerned that the head section won’t have enough depth to keep vegetation from growing.
@@jasonmfshow - the water flowing in there is crystal clear. It’ll be murky fora while, but once it’s full it’ll clear right up. Apparently it was a nice pond before the dam break,,, it would have been pretty shallow then,,,,, fingers crossed. The beavers themselves control the vegetation quite well also. They know how to keep the pond to their likings. 😂😂.
Lotta beaver going to want to hire you out. Good to see you getting out to the dam site to build it up. And looks like a good, well thought-out plan to bring that project together. Wondered when the overflow system was going in? LOL
Fixing the Beaver Dam - hey - they will LOVE You ! The Beaver Community Thanks You ! Now we all know about Good Mud and Bad Mud - ha ! Congrats and many Cheers from Australia !!!!
defo feels like ive gone full circle with this project first videos i ever found of yours years ago was beaver dam removal ones and here i am watching you rebuild them
First video I have seen with an excavader and a beaver dam in it and the beaver dam is BETTER than is was at the start!!! Chris, i do beleave if you go back there you'll be made an honorary beaver. Awesome job
Thank you Chris for leaving the window up while you work the pond this morning, that sun rise looked awesome..like it just wanted to watch your work also 🌄🌞☀️. Great job Sir. Keep watching hit that like button before you forget. GO Team Let 'sdig18
I think once it's dry and the shoreline has ground cover it should give your client his old pond back, it's turned out amazing considering you just relocated some nasty looking mud. Nice job Chris.
I think this was an unusual job but you made a mud hole into a nice pond! As always, I enjoy your videos because of your methods of accomplishing the task and the way you narrate what you're doing. Take care Chris and I'll look forward to seeing you're next one!👍👍🇺🇲
Chris, you are so talented!!! Just watched you over-haul the beaver dam pond. It was a mess.....but you made it "purity"!! Scared me when you got so far into the pond and laid the mats....😮 could hardly watch!
39:09 shows a lot. That neighbor has a pond that Chris could have cleaned up too and made look pretty, but they didn’t have the funds available. That’s too bad because both ponds together and cleaned up would look amazing. Great job Chris!
The first video of yours I watched was when you were removing some interesting beaver dams. And I've been with your channel long enough to see you building beaver dams! You are a very talented operator and thanks for sharing your work with us.
Chris. I’ve watched your vids for a few years. One thing I have seen in you that is not common among many ppl anymore. You know how to think outside the box. Another great Vid. Keep them coming !!!
I'm jealous of you my friend. As a kid I played in the dirt and mud with my Tonka Trucks and loaders. Your doing it as an adult with real equipment. This was a cool video and your knowledge sure shows. Tx for sharing my friend.
This was a pretty cool series. Great job like always!!! It's so cool to see the job come together. If you can it would be nice to see it after it fills up.
Beautiful work Chris, turned out awesome, the AMI tilt bucket does wonders with goopy mud, thanks for sharing an I look forward to seeing the next video 💪🇺🇲🤙✊👌
Chris, I’ll have to say you made it look a whole lot better I know the people next-door will probably wish now they let you fix their side when they see how good the other side looks
I've read and heard many times that beavers can design a dam with trees, limbs and mud better than any engineer. Don't know if that is true but I do know there are three beaver ponds on the creek that borders our property that have been intact for at least 50+ years. We had a 100 yr flood in 1994 that blew out the man made dams on 90% of the ponds in this area. The three beaver dams stayed intact. The water breached the beaver dams of course but they did not blow out.
Beaver dam repair 101!!! Chris is the potter, and mud is his clay. The proud owner will now have a pretty pond instead of a snake-infested swamp. Well done, Chris. Well done...
Well it certainly looks better for now and will likely help with bug control. Especially when it gets flushed regularly after full. Good plan to make that repair higher thus pushing the overflow onto the beaver portions as they build with sticks for structure that your patch does not have. Their old sections can take the overflow without scouring hopefully. Only other choice for a swamp like that is to bring in fill and get above the water levels. Filling along that one side got them some more level solid ground so that helps. Great job with what you had to work with. Most of RUclips is busting beaver dams, but you go against the grain and repair them. That's thinking outside the box for sure.
This job in that swamp and conditions is first class. To not get that machine stuck in those conditions is very skillful Chris, well done.

Agreed as i said in the 1st video : Excellent Need more like this, These Beavers dont know how good they will have it
The home owner should be pleased with the view change, from a boggy swamp to a nostalgic beaver pond! Nice looking job!

I've read online that you need about 3 feet to prevent plant growth.
@@2badger2 water clarity also plays a big role, but 3ft is kind of a general rule.
@@2badger2 Yeah I suspect that head section is gonna be full of weeds by summertime. 🤷♂️

I would have never believed that overgrown slop hole could look that good in three days!
I think you'll get a very passing grade from the beavers for helping them with their dam. Great job Chris.
What an awesome ,unique project !
You did a nice job for those folks and risked your machine in the mud, hopefully you made at least 7500 bucks on the deal!
Cheers mate from across the big dig hole, Bundaberg Australia, love ya soft touch👍.
Another nice job Chris - too bad the neighbors didn't pitch in to clear their side out. I have a feeling you'll be back.
