"You want your children to be happy..." And then you tell them their whole life how awful they look in their clothes. Yeah, way to go, mom!
You can't know that, nor the relationship she has with her mom, it looks like momma loves her daughter with all her heart, and only wants her daughter to look great. The daughter is obviously very strong minded, and gets what she wants anyways...and she does want an HONEST opinion from her mom.
The mom iterated exactly the same thing the bride did - that she has a big bust and butt. When is "curvy" necessarily a pejorative?
The mom was trying to look at her overall shape in the dress, and that was not different than what the bride wanted. They just had different opinions about the style. And in the end, the mom did not complain about the brides choice. Given they both have really big personalities, you know the mom wanted her to be happy. Why is that bad?

Yeah she passed away too - so was definitely told that her whole life :/
This bride is one of my favorite brides from this series. She isn’t afraid to be herself..
she passed away a few years ago...i was friends with one of her bridesmaids,...so sad..i loved her attitude on the show too.

Ok I just looked her up and yes she did pass away in 2018. So sad and it said she had a son but no mention of husband so I wondered if she divorced. But how tragic as she was still so young. Her obituary did not mention her cause of death but I am guessing maybe it is due to illness or an accident? But it does not matter and I hope she rests in peace.

My mother said the same awful thing to my younger sister and her fiancé replied “I’m lucky that she loves and puts up with me!” They’ll be married 20 years next year.
Found out from another video on Stacy that she sadly passed away in 2018 at the age of 43 the cause of death can’t be found
I love the bride , she is beautiful and great personality, and bravo for all the team of the shop, who support the bride . You can be outside the standard shape , but still deserve to look amazing in your wedding day . And there is nothing wrong to be curvy or plus size.
The second dress looked beautiful and showed her figure. That was perfect for her. But the bride has to make her own choice.

I preferred the 2nd dress on her, it was more flattering than the last one, but she did look pretty. Both the bride and her mum are very opinionated and blunt, but you can tell they care for each other.

This mom was a breath of fresh air compared to mine, who made me cry during one dress search appointment with her mean comments. If you're reading this and you never got along with your mother for whatever reason, spare yourself some heartache and do not take her to those kind of appointments. She will ruin them just by being her usual self. Promised.

Thank you I’m still 19 but now I’m thinking if I’ll ever get married and go wedding dress shopping to never take my mum with me since she comments about me being a bit curvy and not thin like her and also about my pale skin and how much I should get a tan !

As a mom of a 6 foot daughter, it's not the shopping WITH the mom but the fact that the stores have nothing to fit off the rack...and mom was there for the tears.

The bride has a fabulous Jessica Rabbit figure and she looked fabulous in her chosen dress. I liked the second one, too. I hope seeing herself like this encouraged her to occasionally branch out from her usual teeshirt & jeans, as she can really rock a dress.

I preferred the dress her mom liked........ 10 years later (or however many years after this episode aired) the dress she chose really screams that era, while the other dress was more timeless.
It looked like it supported her bust better too.

If you pay attention though, the mom isn't really as negative as the title hints at. She was supportive of both the 1st and 3rd dress even without lace...just didn't want her boobs hanging out. The Bride changed her views on the 1st two dresses after hearing her mom's view.

The mom is not nice at all, but i think the dress she picked made her look bigger., but all that mattrrs is she felt pretty in it.
Her mother reminds me of mine. I hate clothes shopping still because of her and almost always do it online I never try anything on EVER. Prom dresses were a nightmare, and i don’t even want to get married because she’ll throw a fit when I dont invite her or act like this and make me want to cancel the whole thing!

I understand this is an old episode. She really is pretty, but the old-style striped hair is a total distraction. Hopefully she had it bleached/dyed a complimentary shade and saw how lovely she looked in a dress too.
