That was so sweet of Lori to give her the dress♥️♥️ I was surprised the bride didn’t go to hug her immediately. That would’ve been my reaction but I know she’s filled with bitter, sweet, emotion her mom‘s not there.
I was a little surprised, too, but... Her reaction afterwards, when she sobbed about it, makes me think that - in the moment, with Lori - she was shocked and had a mixture of emotions hit her all at once. Missing her mother, relief that she can actually afford/have the dress, maybe a mix of emotions about her predicament, and more. I say this because she went very quiet and then, later, was very teary and clearly thankful. Poor girl has been through a lot of trauma in her young life. I read in the comments that she is a NICU nurse (&, according to the comment, a very good one). Working in that kind of environment, you learn to hold your initial emotions and fight your urges to hug or cry until you've assessed the situation further, to maintain an air of professionalism. Everyone I know in that line of work has delayed emotional responses that are almost "learned behaviours", so that may have also been what she was doing 😊💕
