Margaret's mom's name is Jennifer. She was murdered July 25, 2006. The person that murdered her was caught and has been given the death penalty (in 2009) and is awaiting execution.

@@HalfNHalf. Those who are innocent of the crime they are on death row for don't. You would be surprised how many innocent people are rotting in prison, or have died/been executed for crimes they didn't commit. Now, if there is undeniable proof/witnesses/video or something that someone did murder someone, then ok, they should get an express pass to the front of the line. However, that's why we have so many appeals in our justice system, to give the accused the time to prove they are innocent.
Why murdered for what
The fact he was given the death penalty in 2009 and that he’s still alive is a problem.

When I saw this episode, I cried. This bride deserved the dress of her dreams. I hope her wedding was everything she dreamed of.
I remember when that was in the news. Her mother murdered on that bike trail in Cobb County. Over 10 years ago now.
I cried too. This was such a touching episode.
She is still married to Will Gaither. They have 2 children.

OMG, I'm so sorry to hear this. It's unimaginable to me. I lost my Mom - she died of cancer 19 days after the diagnosis was made. It was so far advanced there wasn't a single thing they could do for her. I thought I would die that day. But what you went through is SO much more tragic, so unnecessary, so shocking.................I don't know how you got through it. It's wonderful to hear that you've met a man who means everything to you. He'll never replace your Mom but he will bring his own brand of love into your life and hopefully that will partially fill the hole in your heart.
So sorry for your terrible loss of your mum. I hope you can find a measure of peace one day.

This isn't the first time I've seen Lori give someone a dress, and I've also seen Lori and Randy decide together to give a bride her dress. I think if you run a business like theirs, you can't help but get emotional over some of the stories you hear.

Lori, I can attest to the tears. I lost my mom back in 2006. And furthermore, I have finally found the man of my dreams who adores me…but my mom (and dad) WON’T be there for our Special Day 😔! Glad that Lori gave that dress as a gift 🎁! It just makes it EXTRA SPECIAL!

The murderer was first handed a 10 year sentence for r***, and he murderer her mom after being released. After his 1st time in jail, his own sister took him in, only to find out he had tried to break into her daughter's room through a window. Goes to show you, punishment for the 1st crime should be LIFE. He is currently still on death row.

Margaret is a NICU nurse and still wonderfully happily married to Will with a beautiful family that has grown by 4 gorgeous littles. ❤ She's truly someone to admire, although I think she'd wave her hand at you if you told her as much. 😂🎉 We're one of the many families she has helped a handful of years ago, traveling hours to the best nicu in the state. Don't know her personally, anymore than you ever know a nurse who's been amazing, but definitely recognized this wonderful soul, immediately. In some ways I think happiness is a choice, not always an easy one. But a noticeable one all the same. It's the little things we remember when the stress is long gone. ✨️

When my house got fire all I wanted to do was cry but believe it or not my dress survived & the fire was on the other side of the wall. So I still have my dress my mom made for me

That was so sweet of Lori to give her the dress♥️♥️ I was surprised the bride didn’t go to hug her immediately. That would’ve been my reaction but I know she’s filled with bitter, sweet, emotion her mom‘s not there.
I think she was completely overwhelmed and probably exhausted from trying on so many dresses. Such a heartbreaking time it would have been for her.
She was shocked and overwhelmed, surprised by Lori's heart of gold. I believe her mom walked her down the isle in spirit.

I was a little surprised, too, but... Her reaction afterwards, when she sobbed about it, makes me think that - in the moment, with Lori - she was shocked and had a mixture of emotions hit her all at once. Missing her mother, relief that she can actually afford/have the dress, maybe a mix of emotions about her predicament, and more. I say this because she went very quiet and then, later, was very teary and clearly thankful.
Poor girl has been through a lot of trauma in her young life. I read in the comments that she is a NICU nurse (&, according to the comment, a very good one). Working in that kind of environment, you learn to hold your initial emotions and fight your urges to hug or cry until you've assessed the situation further, to maintain an air of professionalism. Everyone I know in that line of work has delayed emotional responses that are almost "learned behaviours", so that may have also been what she was doing 😊💕

When I married in September 1981 it was 3 weeks before my 17th birthday and my mum died when I was 15. I never got to go dress shopping with her but I had my 2 eldest sisters with me. The first dress I tried on was the cheapest and was dreadful, it looked like a shroud and my sisters said no immediately so I settled on the second cheapest (we had a very tight budget). My dad cried when he saw me coming down the stairs towards him and said I wish your mum was here, I felt like she was. Twenty or so years later my father-in-law told me I looked like an angel walking down the aisle which made me cry, I believe my mums energy was surrounding me.

She wasn't a child, she was in her 20s. She was a young teen when her mother was killed, so wasn't a child then, either.

I'm also very proud that the bridal institution considered her heartbreaking situation in life and chose empathy over money... Sometimes I really wish some people would show me sympathy, share some empathy with me and sincerity of their emotions towards my late father's murder as well ❤️🩹😢 He will always be known as the first man who created Tourism on 63 Beach Guyana... This episode made me cry the first ride she is gorgeous and not having her mom there to approve to her dress, I lost my mom at the very young age.
This broke my heart. My mom was seriously ill when I went dress searching and it was so hard to not have her there. Luckily we got her out of hospital for our day but it hurts not having the one person who would love to be there.
She lost her mom in the most horrific way and what Lori did for her was a gift in heaven. Her and her team have been wonderful with her xx

My mother died in 1976 when I was 21 and I did not marry until 30. Although my older sister ended up making my dress, we did go look at dresses at a bridal salon to get an idea of what might look good on me. Mom would have loved to come along for that. I did buy a corsage on my wedding day for her and left it by her grave earlier in the day of my wedding. It is sad when your mom never meets your husband or her grandchildren. My heart goes out to this young woman. I wish her much happiness.
