Update: Cryptic has just announced that reputations will soon only reward Reputation Dilithium Vouchers when reaching tier 5 now instead of Dilithium Ore, meaning the amount of dilithium rewarded will still be the same, but will only be usable in reputation projects.
Yo, can you please unblock me on Twitter? I genuinely support what you do and just because I don’t like Alex Kurtzman’s vision of Trek doesn’t mean I hate it. It just doesn’t sit right with me. I’m allowed to have that opinion and still be able to follow you, right?
@@Stu1701 I meant modern Trek. Not Star Trek in general. I'm not the biggest fan of Modern Trek because it's always filled with mostly action and some things don't add up with the bulk of the pre-established canon. Sorry if I ticked you off with that one. I don't hate modern Trek, but I don't like it either.
@@wertypearl7015 Would you say that about Strange New Worlds too? Cos that's Modern Trek with a return to classic trek. Generalizing about the current trek series just shows you're thinking one dimensional. I grew up watching TNG and the classic trek series but I still like modern trek cos it's not ALL BAD, especially Strange New Worlds which has turned out to be really good and very much like classic trek with a modern twist to it. If you don't like some then don't bring your negativity about it to others especially when others are not being negative.
This is hands down the best explination on what to do. Thanks dude i had no idea i could just turn in marks without waiting for the 30 min timer one i max out my reps.
im abit late here but i found you can get quick Dilithium if you do the Romulan mission "Staging Area" you can spam that mission as much as you want for quick romulan marks and Dilithium.
Doing adv random tfos also gives you extra stuff like the elite compensation things needed for your reputations. Hence getting extra marks and the ability to get random mark boxs which also hold dil. Farm up enough and you can get some dil saved up
With 12 permanent toons and a new KDF Recruit, I managed to turn 2-3 weeks of daily dilithium refinements into about 3700 zen, with another 1400 in a matter of days. Hopefully If I can keep myself from spending I can afford the next Mudd's or Anniversary Bundle w/o IRL money!
Patience can be a key as well. Save up those VIP Dilithium vouchers you get from opening lock boxes as they are worth 5,000 dilithium/claim for just mining one time. However, if you have the bonus pool from the Ferengi admirality and wait for a bonus dilithium weekend, you will get 15,000/claim for mining. This is great for players who have multiple alts because you can use one claim for 15,000, drop the rest into your account bank and let the next alt pick them up to VIP mine. Lather, rinse and repeat for all of the characters on your account.
Also, once you hit Tier 6 with a rep, three times a day you can do the hourly project for 15 Marks, 1000 Expertise and 7500 EC for 340 Dil. That's more than double your Dil per Mark compared to trading 50 marks for 500 Dil. With all 13 reps at Tier 6, you can get 13,250 Dil Ore per day per character, as long as you have the Marks, Expertise and EC.
Earning ore isn't really an issue anymore, it's not like it used to be when you had to actually go out and farm so you could hit the daily 8k refine limit. Now the game shovels ore at you. The problem is refining it. I have a character I've been playing for a month that already has almost 1mil ore. It's going to take me _forever_ to refine, and that's only if I just stop playing and log in only to refine. So long as I keep playing, it'll just keep snowballing. I do the alt thing. You pretty much have to if you want anything done in a timely manner. I do Doffs, admiralty, and contraband daily on 12 characters. It's a slog, but definitely worth it.
dude thank you so much for this video! I came back to STO after a LONG break(before all this dilithium stuff) and I'm able to mine/refine a lot more now so i can get some XV weapons for my ship.

I play on Xbox one STO, they really need to fix the captian space skills. I get so aggravated have to go back in and set it up every time. I'm not fooling with it anymore. The slots can stay empty.
Dilithium from Endeavor boxes have a ~10% drop rate, so clearly not a main source of income. As for the prisoners, it's more profitable to turn them in through space sector duty officer assignments (500 Dil for 4 prisoners) than through the security officer (1.000 Dil for 10 prisoners) but it requires traveling a bit, the assignment appears at random and most importantly, it can fail. Though it's even more profitable when you get a critical success.
Vid idea 13th console. Some ships can get a 13th console. No one has mentioned it but I bet you can do it justice. Look at new Lexington and you will see what I'm pointing out. There are a few ships that can get a 13th console
even air fighting getting those dreads dead in a min or two, 720 dil each if u can keep up the pace is nice too. Might not be AS AFFECTIVE as how you do it but it works
Yep, bought it out lol. As long as I don't miss any days I should have my campaign prize by the end of this one. I have an idea for a build I want to do and the ship I want for it is promo so I want finish the campaign ASAP.
With a cap of 8000 on refining Dilithium. Doesn't matter how much ore you have. I have over 200,000 in ore but only allowed 8000 every 20 to 24 hours. My play time has gone down just because of this cap on Dilithium. When EVERYTHING in the game requires Dilithium. A cap on refining ore is a henderance and makes me not want to play the game. Dilithium exchange isn't any better. You WILL lose money on it. Everyone is going after lowest price on Dilithium for Zen and highest for the opposite, when buying Dilithium. The market is just as bad. I'm not allowed to sell anything. I'm may stop the game all together. I'm stopping COD because of Cronos. Definitely not buying MW2.

But can I farm STU's Dilithium lensed glasses for an extra 500 refined daily?
I do love bonus dilithium.

I have more ore than I know what to do with. At this point I'd throw real money at ore conversion. (do you hear me Cryptic??)

Too bad consoles UI is so distorted we have no idea what menus you are using. :(

No, Endeavors aren't a main source, but they still drop dil, and can drop EC, and frankly you should be doing them regardless for the stat buffs.

That's because they're Miracle Workers ships, they always have an extra console slot
That's odd. I'm pretty sure the Dyson (ground) Battlezone drowns the player in Dilithium. On a good day I could get 8000 in ten minutes.
