It's so frustrating to see people saying the most heinous shit known to man because they can hide behind a screen. They face ZERO consequences for their actions. And when others do get mad and tell them off, they always act like they're the victim.
And the people that are mean like that say that you shouldn't be on the internet if you can't handle people being mean to you. You don't *HAVE* to be mean. If you get satisfaction out of hurting someone, take a long hard look at yourself, try to understand why you react in such a negative and hurtful manner, and for the love of whatever you believe in, GET HELP. Clearly something made you hurt, so you feel the need to inflict that hurt onto others in hopes of feeling better.

I don't wanna bring race up, but imma just put it out there. The part where the girl said that SZA was being "rude" and "never" said it in a respectful way is a classic example calling Black women aggressive and angry for reacting rationally and appropriately to harm and ill will being done to us (i.e. Angry Black Woman). I'm sure the way she's treating SZA is a intersectional issue of dehumanizing celebrities as well as vilifying and dehumanizing Black women. The same drama happened when Tory Lanez shot Megan Thee Stallion. Megan immediately became the bad guy. I'm not even a celebrity and I know how SZA and Megan feels because I've experienced it. They poured their heart out and people tap danced on it. Everything that happens to us is our fault and we're always the bad guy for speaking up and saying enough is enough. Even when we are rich, beautiful, famous, and educated; everything society claims they wish Black people were, we still have to deal with passive aggression and undertones of racism. I can't count the number of times I was called the n-word or physically accosted and the perp goes "OH NO SHE'S BEING MEAN TO MEEE/HIT ME FOR NO REASON. SHE YELLED AT ME AND CALLED ME RACIST. WHAAH WHAAH WHAAH," They pulled the ultimate Karen act and got away with it scott free every single time and I end up in trouble for standing up for myself or slapping the shit out of someone for touching me. Why? Because I'm a big scary violent negro gorilla with no human emotions and I can't experience pain or trauma. I feel SZA deep on this one.

literally i don’t know why everyone is just on sza’s side or the fan’s side. there is a power imbalance in the fact she is a celebrity. and if she doesn’t like being a celebrity then she should get out of the public view, because when you are as popular as she is you are always going to get criticism, and if a meme hurts her that bad then how will she take actual criticism? but the fan is clearly entitled and an asshole. sza did try to handle this like a human, obviously trying to remove the celebrity part. and the so-called fan did not listen to her. which is disgusting

Actually, I do have similar situation when it comes to bullying. In fact I have been taught ways to avoid it. Just hope SZA does too. I really love how shes standing for herself but hopefully she does it correctly by just simply ignore it.
And for the 18 y.o, even if a mind of a young adult hasn't fully developed yet, this is common sense that celebrities are humans. I dont know what got into her head. If she didnt start it, SZA wouldnt overreact. Its just ridiculous.

Just because someone is young does not mean they should be absolved of all accountability. There's plenty of 18 year olds and younger who know that kind of behavior isn't ok. It's kind of infuriating these days to see people pull the "Oh I'm a minor" card to excuse some of the most atrocious stuff. Like, some of these folks don't wanna face any sort of consequences for their actions and it's sad.

I am autistic, and I have been made fun of a lot for my autistic traits like not understanding social queues, or trying to talk to someone something I am passionate about. In my country rn, we are facing a crisis because lot of teenagers have killed themselves in the last months after being bullied (online and irl). Some had received death threats. The worst is that, upon calling the Board of Education, parents were threatened with legal pursuit if they continue to ask their children to be protected. And now, their children are dead.
I don't really like the "it's a Gen Z problem" speech, because bullying has been an issue for a long time and those teenagers aren't raising themselves. The older generations are also responsible here. The grown adults that turn a blind eye to this behavior are also to blame.
