@@TwilightEspeon Not really, it has the same ending, they take away her divine power and she becomes a mortal who doesn't die or live. The difference between the book and the series is that Wuhuan in the book is only the Goddess empress descendant of Phoenix, she doesn't become the Goddess of monsters, so destroying her was just saying what she has done and taking away her powers, the same happens with Xuanyi who only exists in the second book "Hidden God", the continuation of the first book.

One of the things I found unbelievable with Wu Huan's character is that she got a hold of the power so quickly. It would have made more sense if she acquired it over the 60,000 yrs. But then again maybe that's why everyone was able to defeat her easily.
She used that devil weapon that she used to kill Yuemi. That weapon can make her absorb power quick but she herself is a lowly phoenix she couldn't actually handle the power or use it to its maximum hence she can be easily defeated.
What kind of next level arrogance did Wu Huan have to think she can actually kill Bai Jue anyway? And so simply? Even if he was at lower power than usual due to his decisions(cough) damaging his core, he's still an all powerful God. It was fun though to see how easily she got defeated. People think it might be anticlimactic compared to when Bai Jue fought Demon God, but she was never really that powerful in the first place, she just believed she was.

Although in the drama they make 4 real Gods face Wuhuan, in reality even one could against her and effortlessly. But I understand that they wanted to generate a bit of drama like at the beginning when they faced Yuanxi, but with Yuanxi I understand because he was also a real God and the monster king, but here they gave Wuhuan a lot of prominence which she doesn't deserve and it diminished a little the power of the real gods, what could be said is that the four gods were not quite well being asleep for many years and without cultivating, that's why they needed to support each other but I would have preferred that only one of them face her or not show as if it had cost them a lot of effort. In the book Wuhan felt true terror towards the real Gods, this Wuhuan on the other hand is too self-centered and is very ignorant.

I can assume its either that the Ancestral god created the tribulation of Chaos as a necessary thing the God realm face to bring peace to the 3 realm. Who knows it could be the ancestral god an ass or he knew Xun yi was going to fall and become the devil lord and wanted him dead.
For me Huan is the hottest. And played the her evil character perfectly It took 4 gods to take her down.

I just can't get it,if Shanggu is the chief goddess,then she's the strongest,that doesn't make sense,even though wu huan become strong,why did ancestral god want someone who's more powerful than the chief goddess
I imagine it's bravado from Wu Huan.
Here it's a mistake of Wuhuan, her ego makes her believe that she can be more powerful than the real Gods but it's a lie, she did not witness their battles against Xuangi either, she was simply carried away by ignorance. On the other hand, Shanguu is powerful, but at that time she didn't have all his power or none of them really, Bai Jue had obtained the power of chaos and with that he reduced his life (He tells Gujun, he has lost so much power that could die), Tiangi had given almost all his power to save Shanggu and Shanggu just woke up, but in the past she could do it alone but just see how little damage Wuhuan does to them if Bai Jue and Tianqi survived the flower's deadliest poison.
