There are stand out bass players and there is Dwayne. Its not the wacky colours. Its his playing. Sharray Reed can play but MN excites like not many bass players I've ever heard. Overplaying.? maybe, but I really don't care.
I could see this guy playing anything with ease especially Rock. I could see him breezing through any Rush or Primus song. Yet I could see a guy like Geddy Lee struggling with this song. Just based on his stiff attempt to play some funky bass with Run D and PE at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame after Rush’s well deserved induction. I just can’t see it! I’d like to be proven wrong.
