With the first floor and ground floor stuff sometimes in America we will still say ground floor but still count it as the first floor. (Ex. in hotels the first floor will say g1 standing for ground floor or first floor)

I tend to say "I've lost my wallet" if it has happened recently and there is still a chance to find it. Instead I say "I lost my wallet" when after looking for it everywhere, I didn't manage to find it and it's definitely lost!
