I am an ex homosexual, former alcoholic, ex drug addict, was addicted to porn, anything immoral, anything addictive. I had no self worth, living self destructive. Now even through there are trials, there is a peace where before I only had shame and guilt. My sins were many but Christ has forgiven them all. I was on the wrong way but God brought me back to Him.

I am a former muslim. God saved me. I started asking the same questions as in your interviews to some of my close family members and agnostic colleagues. It's miraculous what love and understanding can bring in your life. Now I'm a Christian and also some of my friends and siblings have accepted Christ.

Were the same story and i found it very mysterious that many people's testimonies about theirselves being saved by God is pointing directly to 2020 which also the same story as i am.
Then i remember the Bible said that in the last days the holy spirit will be more powerful, and if i remember correctly it also said that God will use teenagers to proclaim his gospel to the whole world in the last days.Which i am too.

Jesus absolutely does free people from drug addiction.
Some but not all. There are varying degrees of sin. The deacons in our church were all obese for instance. I'm sure they were working on their ungodly appetites.

@@KC-dr7tv it is very rare that medical problems are involved in obesity though T2D can make a person gain weight as well as the use of insulin. I do not judge obese people but obesity has become a socially acceptable sin. I do not judge people with addictions; they are trapped in sin. We all have our battles.

Anyone help me with understanding why God in the Bible has different slavery rules for non Hebrew and Israelites?
I’m genuinely trying to understand why Israelites could be free after 6 years, but non Israelites can be for life.
I know slavery in the Bible is NOT like the American slave trade, it was more economic based, and voluntarily and contractual.
But why still say Israelites must be free after 6 years, but not non Hebrews?
Please help it’s 1 of 2 things that are making me doubt.
@@Jhart44the people of Israel were God’s chosen people. (I say ‘were’ because currently they are partially blind, many have not received their Messiah). In the time of the Old Testament, they were the only people with access to God. All Gentiles were alienated from God with no relationship with Him, aside from a few exceptions. The Law was given to those people of Israel, and you will notice God had a preference for them over other people. But in the present moment, through the blood of Christ, that barrier between Jew/gentile has been torn down. And in addition to that, the old Law of Moses was done away with, and Jesus brought in a New Covenant (this is for anyone who will believe). God’s plan of predestination was to give all humans access to God through Jesus Christ, the only mediator between man and God. I don’t know if this answers your question but I felt the need to share my thoughts. I encourage you to study the person and work of Jesus Christ, and I also by obligation encourage you to believe in Him, that you may be saved.

Jesus saved me from drug addiction and Sexual Immorality. I owe my life to Him. You know what the surprising part is? (not surprising anymore, but was when I realized it)
My life is harder as a Christian. It was easier to be lost in sin. But I like my life more now than I did before. I think its pretty nice that something can be harder, but better.
So true. We have a bumpy flight, but the promise of a safe landing.
Many times I have asked God to forgive me of my sins. And for years I've fallen right back into what I knew was wrong. Many false conversions. But I was at my church camp and the pastor was doing the altar call. And I could feel God speaking to me and I told myself I'm not ready because I didn't want to mess up again. Then my cousin went to the alter. And I felt God speaking to me louder and louder. Hearing the pastor speak about passing out into eternity and another man speaking to my cousin outside the Tabernacle about how he used to drink alcohol and God freed him from it. I knew it was time to get things right with God. I nailed down at the bunk bed in the boys dorm and ask God to forgive me and to give me a new heart with new desires. And I can say to this day I have new desires. Pray for me that I keep on the right track

Revenge, lust, ambition, pride, and self-will are too often exalted as the gods of man's idolatry; while holiness, peace, contentment, and humility are viewed as unworthy of a serious thought.
But ....I have an ambition to change my country one day....To make my country a better place. Does that make me an enemy of God or does that do any damage to my relationship with God
Selfish ambition is dangerous. Stepping on peoples toes to get to the top or only to fulfill ones own selfish desires is bad. Having a strong desire to improve your situations and especially those of others is good I think, if it’s done morally of course and especially if done to the glory of God.

Friend praise God that you are excited about God, and what He is doing in people's lives. I want to encourage you to study God's word carefully and always ask God to give you wisdom and spiritual understanding concerning His word of truth. 2 Tim. 2:15, Study to show yourself approved unto God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. The more you study God's word, the more you will know God and His character or His attributes, the more you grow in the knowledge of God, the more you will fall in love with Him, the more you will fall in love with Him, the more you are going to tell others about Him. The Holy Spirit uses God's word to sanctify us, as Jesus said in His prayer for all who believe in Him, in John 17:17, Father sanctify them by your truth your word is truth. It is important that we always say what the Bible says nothing more nothing less. I am curious where does the Bible say, the Holy Spirit will be more powerful in the last days. That is not in the Bible. The Holy Spirit is all, powerful, at all times, He is God so He has unlimited power forever. I don't think it is wise to say things that the Bible doesn't say, especially abot the triune Godhead. Please don't take it the wrong way. If you are hinting what Joel said in the book of Joel, and Peter made reference to Joel in Acts 2:14-21. Last days are the days since Christ came into the world and until He returns. Heb. 1:1-2. In the last days God spoke to us through His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ. Hope you will do a study yourself and you will see that last days refers from Christs coming until His return. And what Scripture says God is going to use teenagers to preach the gospel in the last days, you will not find it in the Bible. Anyway, May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you.

Read entire books and letters from the Bible. That way, you will know what is true, and when you run across false teachings, you will know they aren’t true

This is why I have so much respect for men and woman exercising the gifts God gave them.
In situations like these I am completely tactless and would probably end up saying that the only thing lukewarm people are good for (after they've been spat out) is to mix them with soil and dust and have the mud applied to blind people's eyes.

This is great. I put out the case of Counting the Days in just an hour putting them on the mailbox knob. Would love to get more of those since I believe that Jesus is coming to rapture His holy people, "bride of Christ," any moment. The lukewarm Christians are all over the place in Atlanta. I was putting out tracts at the gas station pumps and at Sam's today because God told me where to go. A curious man called me over to see what I was doing. I had a great 30 minute conversation with a man who was divorced, but he knew that the Bible said not to remarry (till death do you part), and he was raising the six boys while his wife left and had remarried- Mark 10:1-12, Luke 16:18, Romans 7:1-3, 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 & 39. I gave him one of the last copies of Counting the Days and talked to him about pornography use was just the same as if he WAS committing adultery by remarriage, and that also he needed to lead his six boys to Christ- gave him a bunch of million dollar bills for them and a full Bible too. He accepted me praying for him too. Please pray for Keith. We can all pray for the Holy Spirit to move on these people before Jesus comes so they won't have to go through the seven years Tribulation (read Revelation). Would love to support the gospel of John give away! Marantha.
Jesus is coming, and even those who get left behind will have a chance by reading the Bible and refusing to take the Mark of the Beast. These tracts produce good fruit.

For the past few weeks I had been ill and was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. Today I met another Doctor who thinks I basically don't have thyroid problems but my symptoms are tied to stress. He spoke a lot about my mind and stuff.
I have also been having bad insomnia.
I personally don't think I have issues so big that the result has to be insomina.
So here I am requesting for prayers for God's peace in my life.
If you come across this, please say a prayer. I believe in the power of community prayer. It has helped me before and I know it will help me again.

I love your introduction to this video Ray. I do the same thing when witnessing, even if they profess to be a Christian I'll still ask them the tough questions. Many people, like myself, love God with all our hearts and still find ourselves struggling with sin from time to time but the Holy Spirit convicts us when we sin so we want to repent as soon as we realize our sin. It doesn’t justify living in sin, but we should repent immediately if we do and try our best not to partake in sinful things
What is a holy spirit and how do you know that has anything to do with your feelings?
@@thingumybob6246 The Holy Spirit came upon me when I was worshiping God and fully surrendered my life to Him. I have felt His presence ever since that day and I have never been the same. Now I have a strong desire in my heart to live as righteous in God’s sight as possible and my heart greaves for those who do not know Jesus. Read Galatians 5 starting at verse 13 which tells us the difference between living your life in the flesh versus living life by the Holy Spirit

So the holy spirit is a funny feeling? How did you confirm this was due to an outside entity and not just your own brain?
Lot was righteous, right? And God allows slavery? But you have to kill homosexuals? Not sure why anyone should care what the Bible claims God thinks is righteous.
Why should I care what Paul thought? Could he demonstrate he had a clue what he was talking about?
Yeah how many times do I hear so called evangelicals telling addicts and drunks that God will deliver them from addiction? It hardly ever happens…why is that? Just like Ray said - the seriousness of sin is not revealed. The addict ultimately becomes addicted to something else - like food.
The reason you hardly every hear it is because most drunks dont want God they want more strong drink many are happy living a life of a drunk and when some do get saved they think they will never be tempted again and when they are they remember the craving and the high they get from it so they go back to that life style. Many are delivered but many dont stay free because of the temptation like any other sin a person before getting saved use to do a lot of they get saved and are free but when they fail to dedicate them self to prayer and the reading and studying Gods word, being faithful to church they get weak and when the temptation comes they give in to it and go back to the world. Its easy to live like the devil but it takes a real man and women to serve God and live right. When salmon fish want to spawn they usely go up river to get to where they need to go if the come to a water fall the will do whatever it takes to get up it may even cost some of them their life but they are determined to get there. any old fish can swim down river. No pressure, no struggle, and so is it with people once a person is set free they have to make up their mind they will do whatever they have to do to live right to get where they are going if not they not going to make it. That my friend is where the problem is. God has set many people free but they only want the freedom if its easy. Got to be willing to fight. A war never get won if men isnt willing to fight.

I may only be 13 but I have such great love for God and recognize all he does for us! I try to grow my relationship with him every single day and try my best to keep his commandments. I truly accept him as my one and only savior and am so grateful he gave me life 💕

I can attest to the fact that, quite often, the most angry or difficult folks to meet when witnessing are often folks who profess to be Christian yet have no idea about the law, or what Jesus truly did on the cross. To them, Jesus isn't a Savior, but either a 'pink slip' or simply a 'good man', and similarly to them the greatest evil in the world is not in the human heart, but in the feeling of guilt - and anyone who makes them feel guilty must obviously then be evil, in their eyes.
I said that they 'are often' the most angry, but not always - since I've also run into some folks who just flare up into anger on seeing me or hearing the mention of Christ (folks who tend to spout sophomoric atheist arguments, then close their ears - one of 'em said 'I do not want to hear the logic' when asking me for proof, and I recall two of them at separate occasions who began denying any and all history as reliable when I presented historical evidence for Jesus, to the absurd point of denying the existence of George Washington too. No, I'm not joking!),
but as Jesus said, they hate us because they hated Him first.
None of us are perfect: that's why Jesus came.
Seek to walk closer to Christ, and confess your sins and struggles to Him, and walk with Him. He's faithful - even though I have a long way to go.

We broke the law, Jesus paid the fine - bearing not just the physical penalty for sin, but the righteous wrath of God against sin, as well.
Further, He chose to go there in our stead:
"No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father." (John 10:18)

Those who treat sin as if it is no big deal treat Jesus's death - God's grace and love - as if it's no big deal.
An example:
There's a case of a woman in Florida who accidentally drove over someone, resulting in that person's death.
The judge was considering 4 years, but when the woman took a phone call in jail and started joking and laughing about the person she hit - in fury the judge upped her sentence to the maximum 10 years penalty for that crime due to her lacking contrition over her actions.
She saw that person's death as 'no big deal', and rightfully deserved the book being thrown at her.

If someone does not view their sin as a big deal, and God's love as a big deal - well, that then means they treat eternity as if it's no big deal, life as if it's no big deal, and the choices they make, similarly, as if they barely matter.
"Who cares, God forgives", so to speak.
If a person's belief about Jesus does not change their behavior - that leads me to think they don't really care about what He did for us, and thus likely don't really see sin as something to be saved from.
And if they don't see sin as something to be saved from, a legitimate question may follow: did they ever really trust in Christ?
They may have - God knows - but either way there's some alarms going off.

Our actions do not save us: but if we truly trust in Christ and are grateful for what He's done for us, we will seek to be more like Him.
This is why Ray Comfort in these videos often emphasizes the seriousness of sin. If we don't recognize our situation for being as dire as it is, we'll be like that woman in the above example: not realizing how trapped we are while laughing and enjoying our folly - we'll be spurning mercy, all the while justice mourns over our sin, and wrath justly boils over towards us.

How would Ray Comfort know?
No. We didn't do what God not only knew we would do (being omnipotent) but what God made the universe so that we would do (being omnipotent). The God god annoyed because we did what we were made to do, but for some reason decided that to "forgive" us for being what it chose us to be it needed to take human for and trick a bunch of people into crucifying it's human body in order to have an excuse to "forgive" us for something that it chose for us to be.
It makes litterally no sense.
The thing is, we have no reason to think it's true.
