I remember watching some Pro player on launch day of HotS, where he would try to get every Achievement on a single playthrough of each mission. This one in particular set him back a while. I would love to see a run trying to do that. Ohh, and on Brutal, of course.
It is nice when timed defense missions, especially the easier ones that don’t have as much going on, have some alternative for a quicker mission completion that is more interesting to accomplish.
I recall seeing a “speedrun” of the SC1 timed defense mission, Desperate Alliance, in which the speed runner quickly made enough defense to win the mission then went afk to probably go make a sandwich until time ran out. Ironic considering the mission initially was supposed to have a way to end the mission quicker by attacking the enemy base like in this mission
I think they actually fixed this in the N64 version of SC1 (you can finish the mission early), but they never ported that fix to PC, even for the Remaster 🤨
When someones says "HotS is easy because Kerrigan is OP", but it is not that HotS easy, but that Kerrigan is a unit with the uniqueness of entire race for all the missions.
Man! Watching you play this makes me think of how much micro potential there is in HotS in Kerrigan alone. Can't wait to see what you'll do with Spawn Banelings / Malignant Creep. Love it, as always.
Nice work. Bonus sniping was very clever
Good job, dude!
Thanks for the support! 😁
Astonishing. Groundbreaking. Wow
This was the mission where I began to despise Kerrigan.
Omg it's an art 🎨 admirable!!
I love speedruns, and i love StarCraft 2
Fantastic micro for this mission!
I really enjoy watching you kick ass in this game
Is there a chance once you finish with the SC2 speedruns we get to see you play Mass Recall on Endgame (hidden hardest difficulty) and see how fast you can win there?
only time will tell 😎
Now may you tell us how many hours in every action do you spend on these speedruns (editing, researching, attempting)?
Really depends on the map, maybe 10 to 50 hours each for most of the missions. The hardest mission was The Dig, I probably put 100 hours into that one.
Some other hard missions were Engine of Destruction, Haven's Fall, and this one.
with this level of dedication, no thought for participating in sc2 championship ?
@@krishnatunggul753 Different kinds of skill is needed for competitive play and for speedrunning. You can't meticulously research an opponent and know exactly what they're going to do, for example.
Dang Izsha, why all the warnings? I woulda thought the zerg would be all about swarming bases as opposed to just sitting back and turtling
Nice like Spice
The last one can be destroyed with baneling directly by jumping from behind
I don't have banelings yet, doing Kaldir first 😉
How much time does Kaldir first save over Char first with this run's rules?
Hard to say because you would have to actually do full speedruns of both routes to make a good comparison. I've only done some very rough routing of the Char first route to determine that Kaldir first is likely to be faster. With Kaldir first, you lose a lot of time in Kaldir 2, but only a little bit of time in Kaldir 1, Kaldir 3 and maybe a tiny bit in Zerus 1. Whereas with Char first, you lose a good amount of time on each of the Char missions. Especially getting both bonus objectives in Char 3 (Old Soldiers) is looking rough with Char first.
I would maybe estimate Kaldir first being 4-5 minutes faster, but it's just a guess.
Never seen somebody play the mission this way. Awesome strategy!
Even armoured queens are op, let alone non-armoured ones. No wonder queen got nerfed to the ground over and over.
Not to say Kerrigan is useless, she’s def not. But queen is really good.
On the other hand, randomiser of this mission ugh…
I never liked queens in the multiplayer. They're very good at defending and you need to build them anyways, so Zerg basically gets a really strong base defense for free.
Не знал что их можно сломать. Сколько играл. Всегда защищал порталы
How do you play without binding groups?
I just don't show the UI (don't find it useful)
@Stu: Did u play Starcraft bout 15 to 20 years ago?
yes but I mostly played WC3 around that time
Nice, i remember a Stu from starcraft. But so long ago... Could it be, it was [thc]stu?
@@Justbad5 Not me, sorry 😁
Kerrigan has Zeratul and Matt to vouch for her yet she prefers genocide over the diplomacy. So destroying protoss bases may have been canon.
I mean, they can vouch that she is necessary for long term survival in the Koprulu Sector but I highly doubt either of them are ok with how she's operating right now (maybe Zeratul because he's going a little senile)
If only she could call Matt and just bring down the Hyperion and destroy the Protos base
He will not, they though they have lost Jim Raynor, the one that the Protoss respect. If the news about them help Kerrigan to slaughter Protoss leaked out, Artanis will lead entire Golden Armanda to wreck them first.
Also they got a lot of works to do atm, in WOL Raynor said that if Mengsk killed him, he will become a matyr. The death of Jim Raynor will cause a lot of rebellion, especially he is the one leading the expedition to Char to save many worlds from Zerg. They have to work hard to keep the momentum.
I love these videos, but they're too short, wich at the same time es the point of the video.
I'll make a full campaign video again when I'm done with all of the missions
