People forget how much of a beast AD was, he dominated Ben Wallace in the playoffs the year they lost to the Sixers in the conference finals. TMac, Vince, and Christie gave them so much depth and versatility in the back court, with Christie, AD, and Oak giving them a defensive focus. TMAc was becoming a quicker more athletic Pippen with an MJ mentality. He was also very good defensively with great instincts, quickness, and length.
Not as bad as Doc Rivers losing the chance to land Tim Duncan due to Doc’s refusal to let Tim’s family fly with the team to some games. Seriously, look it up. The Magic could have had T-Mac, Grant Hill, AND Tim Duncan on the team
I’m a huge raptors fan and trust me I would love to see that Raptors team together for 10 years but I know planet could you say that they definitely would take the Lakers out the only thing I could beat the Lakers was the Lakers those Laker teams were some of the best of it right up there with the bulls and the Celtics and I hated the Lakers back then I still do but we have nothing to deal with Shaq Shaquille O’Neal is probably top three most dominant players of all time
I've always believed that if McGrady stayed in Toronto with Carter and given time to elevate his game and players like Morris Peterson and Marcus Camby stayed, we would have a championship contenting team. Toronto has had a good track record making draft picks (in my opinion) and I believe they would have picked players to compliment their superstars.
Camby was a bust but Carter t Mac Christie Oakley and Davis with Alvin mo pete Kevin Willis and either dee brown or bogues as a 10 th man and Dell curry would have been special to watch.l in a weak east...no way anyone beats them 4 out of 7 for 3 years...minimum....they would have been better than any east team from 01-03 record wise and playoffs wise...t mac and carter were both legit 25 5 and 5 players by 2001...
+BeastmodeKes They didnt have bigtime money back then though, and Carter and TMac cost hefty salaries, so no, they wouldnt have attracted much better free agents
+Jordi De Waard thank you for telling him that. Detroit was going to give them hell on the east. and lets just say if they did go to the NBA finals Lakers or Spurs was going to run threw them easily
+Trey Walker Raptors had a chance to go the finals in 2001, but they failed against the Sixers and lost in 7 games. Sixers went on to beat the Bucks in 5 in the ECF and go to the finals against the Lakers winning the 1st game and Lakers winning the rest. If Raps past the Sixers, they would've for sure beat the Bucks and at least make it to the finals. Plus, say if TMac was how he was today back then.. He would've taken a smaller salary and Toronto attracts Free Agents and could've been champs. They could've faced the Nets in the ECF in 2003 and beat the Lakers after cheating the Kings with that BS. Anyway, Toronto could've beat Detroit and win at least one ring.
A Teenager from Africa's little brother they played together in boston and had 2 other all stars and were only able to win one title so i gotta disagree mayne

I Think The Celtics Would Have A Title In The 90'S if They Stayed Together And I Also Do Not Think They Would Have Won The Title In 2008, Because I Do Not Think They Would Draft Paul Pierce
That was my squad every time I played someone in NBA2k on Dreamcast! They'd be like Toronto, seriously? I'd bring T-Mac off the bench and nobody knew he was!
Do what if Toronto picked Dwayne Wade in O3 instead of Bosh or do if Toronto picked Brandon Roy, Rajon Rondo or LaMarcus Aldridge over picking Andrea Bargnani in 06.

I almost shed a tear, BEAUTIFUL!!! You have to adjust one line of thinking that you do, e.g. in such an example: "San Antonio shut down Vince completely that year [in reality], but this time [in 'what if'] Toronto would also have McGrady". If Toronto had both Vince and Tracy, then San Antonio couldn't have focused on only one of them - like they did on Vince - to shut him down. So Toronto would've been even more better off by not having only one team leader/scorer for the opponents to focus on, but two.
Do a what if Tmac and Grant hill what if Grant hill was fully healthy in Orlando and do anyone remember Tim Duncan was supposed to come over that same summer think how great that team would have been insane
The Pistons let Grant down... the doctors let him play on a broken ankle, and that is what led to his injuries... I mean seriously, what type of team doctors call a broken ankle a sprained ankle...
This video made me sad I'm a raptor fan and the Tmac leaving was heartbreaking this video makes total sense and we could have Been championship winners
Man I was a big Grant Hill fan so seeing him and my 2nd favorite player TMac going to the same time was like the best thing ever to me at that time made me drop my Pistons flag and raise a Magic flag overnight. So sad they never really got to play with each other due to Hill's injuries but watching TMac become a superstar was great. This what if raises a lot of other what if in itself because of the total outcome of the NBA with the TMac Magic singing. Great video all around.

This series is pretty cool because it shows the butterfly effect of how one move could alter NBA history. That said I would like to see a What if Shaq never left the Orlando Magic. I think it would be cool to see how that would alter the magic and the lakers going forward.

+Jeroen Helsen that would have not been the case because the 84 pick would not be jordan cuz drexler was there that is why they went with sam bowie instead they wanted a big man and olajuwon went first so they took a chance with bowie who was highly praised as a college player
Great Video Topic on One of My Favorite AllTime NBA Players in TMac. They Definitely could have Contended for a Championship together. Thanks for The Post.
@@strokelaflare106 I thought basketball is a stupid boring over hyped sport. Didn't know it would destroy the world when a sport like that didn't exist.
What if Kevin Garnett stayed with the Timberwolves? In my opinion this would change the NBA because where would Kevin Love go? How will the Boston Celtics perform? Like if you enjoy my "What If" situation.
They would not have won a championship. Tmac would have never developed into the offensive force he became in orlando had he stayed in Toronto. Plus Toronto did not have the big men necessary to compete against L.A or San Antonio. The real what if is "would a healthy grant hill & tmac had won a title in Orlando?" My answer is yes! Hill was superior to VC in every way except for dunking & 3's. Hill's deadly mid range game, defense, play making and especially his rebounding along with his selfless play would have allowed tmac to develop into an even greater overall player.
timsmith1033 That scenario wouldn't have been able to compare to this one. Vince Carter was already a selfless player that averaged over 5 assists per game at that point in his career as a career average. He believed in team first which is why he was hurt when TMac left. As great as Hill was Carter had the ability to take a backseat if McGrady rose above him or elevate his game even more because the help would've made him more efficient. Either way it goes that scenario helps TMac no more than this one does because Orlando wouldn't have been any better with TMac than the Raptors would've.
Mcgrady was better than Vince. He had 2 scoring titles and averaged like 32 ppg one year with Orlando. Plus, he averaged more rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks than Vince. Not only that he was always compared to Kobe as the best in the NBA. I say that because Vince got all the hype in Toronto, but when he left, we saw who was really better.
Mavericks got better defensively without him Nash. Once they got rid of Nash, they went to 2 NBA Finals and won 1. This is why Nash aka no defense nevrr played in the Finals
That woulda been nasty but I don't think AI and T Mac would win their scoring titles obviously due to shared ball time. Part of the reason T Mac left Toronto anyways was to be star on a team that didn't have one as well, and that obviously gets defeated if he goes to Philadelphia with AI.
Their games don't mesh at all; I'd be similar to Stackhouse & AI, only worst. TMac would be looking for the nearest door out as Stackhouse did after 1 season, only w/ TMac I'd be after their very 1st possession together since he's Stackhouse on steroids + Iverson's ego & selfishness never stopped growing after his rookie campaign. Plus, the Sixers never had any sort of serious chance for TMac, and they would've been beyond stupid to try an pair those 2 perimeter ball-stopping/ball-dominating volume-shooting iso-wings together if they did. You're bringing up something that never had a chance in hell of happening. The what ifs are not about random scenarios. They're about scenarios that would've happened had so & so just made a different decision, different turn, different detour in their journey, or some injury not have happened, making the if part of it a guesstimate as to what would've resulted differently.
+Arsen Akopyan Completely wrong! This is how we use to think oh every star should have their own team, WRONG! It's clear when Lebron and Wade, Westbrook and Durant, Steph and Klay and etc. To many egos back then, Ai, Tmac, Vince even Kobe after Shaq and he realized you can't win alone.
You totally missed my point. You need superstars who's game's fit great together. TMac's & AIs do not. Jordan's & Pippen's did. Bird's, Parish's & McHale's did. Shaq's & Wade's did (they won a title together 4-years after Shaq & Kobe no longer could, when Shaq was past his prime). Shaq's & Kobe's did not (they won 3 cause the NBA was so weak & Phil Jackson's a goat coach). Magic's, Worthy's & Kareem's did. Westbrook's & Durant's did not, despite making the Finals. Stockton's & Malone's did (no one wanted to play in Utah, yet they still almost won it all despite a talent-less roster around them cause they fit each other's games & personalities so beautifully). Cousy's & Russell's did. Wade & Bosh actually fit each other way better than Wade & Lebron or Lebron & Bosh, even though Lebron's the game's best player. Every superstar needs help from another superstar around them to win much, yes. That I agree w/ you on, but just any random superstar does not blend well w/ just any other superstar. Barkley's & Olajuwon do not fit well together, cause Olajuwon playing inside takes away Barkley's space to maneuver down on the pinch post to elbow, all the way down to short corner on isos that Barkley likes. Barkley does much better w/ an explosive point guard running the floor w/ him, who also looks to feed him religiously in the half court sets, like Kevin Johnson. You also can't just look at who won rings and who didn't either, cause there are 30 teams in the NBA, and any of a number of circumstances to account for a certain team winning it all to not. You have to look at just how they play together, then try an assemble a collection of role players as well that play well off of your superstars, whose' games compliment your superstars also. I'd be great to have 10 mega superstars on the same team together, but their games have to compliment each other. Chris Paul's & DeMarcus Cousins' I feel would, but not DeMarcus Cousins' & Dwight Howard's so much, unless you've got an organic point guard like a Chris Paul to feed the both of them the ball a ton. FYI: Players today in general are more egotistical than they were back in day in general. Stockton & Malone could be husband & wife in an alternate universe, but even other gifted pairings like Payton & Kemp, Mourning & Hardaway, Isiah & Dumars, Mark Price & Brad Daugherty, Larry Johnson & Muggsy Bogues, Mookie Blaylock & Kevin Willis, Avery Johnson & David Robinson, Pippen & Jordan and so on, so embraced playing w/ each other for long periods of time until at least one of them got old, badly injured, retired or was just stupidly dealt away to another team. But it's not 2 ball stoppers and no bench that make a good team. It's superstars where usually (not always), one players way bigger than the other, while the other's much smaller than the other, and their greatest strengths lie in the same offensive set, whether I'd be the pick-&-role, triangle, inside-out offense, motion, triple post offense, fast break (but usually where one's more of the distributor while the other's more of the finisher). 2 iso gunners from the wing in the same offense like an AI & TMac is not complimentary. If both guys take 30 shots a game, everybody else might as well just sit on the sidelines, just watching those 2 go 2-on-5 every time down the court, cause there are no shots left for anybody else, nor do they need picks, and you've got no reason to cut off of the pick, or run any splits, cause the ball just disappears.
+Arsen Akopyan Superstars can play together bottom line. I don't care what two, they'll figure it out. You named 1 instance that didn't work and they were at the end of their careers. Thats just the way it was. Bird didn't wanna play with Magic, Jordan didn't wanna play with Reggie but had they been on teams they would've figured it out and would've played great together. In hind sight a lot of superstars had the chance to play together and because x needs the ball to score and so does y they don't mesh, that thinking ruined what could've been. And in that case what superstar other than a big would you pair with Russell Westbrook?
What if Duncan left the spurs to go with t mac and hill to Orlando in 2000 like he almost chose to...nba is changed forever...if those 3 were healthy..
Nuggets would be more trash than they are currently are, they got a lot of assets from the knicks from that trade, and just like the guy above said, melo would still sign for the knicks anyway

Keep doing these they are great man.
What If Clyde Drexler didn't get Traded to the Rockets
+TheCoolGuy // AngeloTheCoolGuy fuck no
w
What if Drexler and the 1984 pic where traded for r sampson. How many titles would Jordan, Drexler and Olajuwon have won?
+TheCoolGuy // AngeloTheCoolGuy What if Len Bias never died
+Jeroen Helsen that would have not been the case because the 84 pick would not be jordan cuz drexler was there that is why they went with sam bowie instead they wanted a big man and olajuwon went first so they took a chance with bowie who was highly praised as a college player
Great Video Topic on One of My Favorite AllTime NBA Players in TMac. They Definitely could have Contended for a Championship together. Thanks for The Post.
What if lebron stayed in Miami
Great video! I've been waiting for this!
What if James Naismith (who is a Canadian) never invented Basketball? Can you do a video on that?
Why you want the Destruction of the world
No one said he wasn't Canadian?
@@strokelaflare106 I thought basketball is a stupid boring over hyped sport. Didn't know it would destroy the world when a sport like that didn't exist.
Good Job on the Video. Keep doing ya thing
How did u get the ACTUAL Grant Hill???
Ikr how did he get him?
My team, he used the practice mode in my team
I agree. May be a second championship as well in 2006 like you said
What if Michael Jordan never retired both times
If Jordan filled his Wizzards team with super stars, 9 Rings!
Seriously insightful video. McGrady was an all time talent. Top 10.
What if Kevin Garnett stayed with the Timberwolves? In my opinion this would change the NBA because where would Kevin Love go? How will the Boston Celtics perform? Like if you enjoy my "What If" situation.
JTCMichal like if you enjoy my what if situation. Could you be anymore pathetic?
Nice video keep up the good work
fuck we still get darko in this hypothetical damn.
and take are championship, fuck this lol.
u did a good job creating the players
Amazing video man. Keep it up!!
it couldve been a dynasty.......
Mcgrady was better than Vince. He had 2 scoring titles and averaged like 32 ppg one year with Orlando. Plus, he averaged more rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks than Vince. Not only that he was always compared to Kobe as the best in the NBA. I say that because Vince got all the hype in Toronto, but when he left, we saw who was really better.
what if
t macs team wasn't trash
Holy shit this was amazing. Well done!!!!
what if shaq never left Orlando
Amazing video man. Just amazing.
What if Steve Nash never left Dallas?
+Tre Moore still no ring in my opinion
Mavericks got better defensively without him Nash. Once they got rid of Nash, they went to 2 NBA Finals and won 1. This is why Nash aka no defense nevrr played in the Finals
as a Detroit Pistons fan I loved the respect. And loved this video.
what if the sixers got tmac. could you imagine tmac and ai
I've watched every What If and forgot to sub? My bad bro I gotchu, and keep it up, What If goes soooo hardd.
What if grant hill and Tmac were healthy
What if Duncan left the spurs to go with t mac and hill to Orlando in 2000 like he almost chose to...nba is changed forever...if those 3 were healthy..
Nice vid! Can you do a what if about penny hardaway not getting injured, and if shaq never left the magic?
Hey nick I'm a nuggets fan and you should do what if Melo never got traded
Melo would have signed away in the offseason anyway
+Mike & Nether's gaming channel lol
Nuggets would be more trash than they are currently are, they got a lot of assets from the knicks from that trade, and just like the guy above said, melo would still sign for the knicks anyway
That Guy Luis but in melo's last year with the nuggets they got to the western conference finals
its crazy how one moment changes everything
#LetsGoHeat
