    Native English speaker here. It is great fun to translate any of these word-for-word into a second language one is studying to see if they still convey a similar meaning. It is surprising how many almost do even without the deep historical context they have natively.
    My hovercraft is full of eels.

      I thought the same and there are some more words which contain U as only vowel and they are also pronounced with the same sound that UP.
      I think it might be a variant of the language of some part of Great Britain.
