The air fitting on the main regulator can be unscrewed and tape up a regular 1/4" fitting good and screws right in no trouble. Works fine and holds air for hours. I suggest adding a street elbow, angled down then your hose fitting to that. Otherwise the hose sticks way out the rear. I also added a hose whip to main regulator instead so it's out in the open and easy access(connected when using). I added a quarter turn valve on right before the fitting so machine can be closed off and disconnected without loosing all the air, in case hose is needed.
That's smart. I "bandaided" it using the barb method and was going to buy the matching, Asian chuck... but it keeps working. So I keep running it as is. Haha
Great video, how is that compressor holding up with the tire machine? Also you should make a video in the future regarding reverse mount/using the disk etc.
Had no issues with the compressor. Sure, it runs quite a bit, but it never has a problem keeping it over 120 psi. And yeah, if there's enough interest, i could.
What’s the biggest rim you done so far? I just ordered this combo and it says up to 24s but I do have factory set of 20s and 22s I’ll have to use it on
Diameter will be fine I'm sure. I have done 19s. The bigger constraint is width. 11" wide with 305s is doable, but not fun. I'll have a follow up with my mods to the machine to fix this.
It works flawlessly, but what uses the most air, is the bead breaker. So if you mount daily driver grade all seasons etc, where they pop off easy as pie, you might be able to mount one tire without the compressor kicking on. If you mount tires like mine, the compressor will be almost continuously be on while swapping. But it never falls behind.
Well, i never ended up buying the matching chuck. I just used the asian fitting as if it were a barb fitting. Meaning, i found the size air hose that was a tight press fit and put a clamp on it... Hack? Yes. Works tho and was "free".
There are other models with even more arms. Not even sure what i would use all those for, but the primary helper arms is so nice to keep the tire in the drop center.
That's a bit of a relief. I know that YT messed up the upload on this tho. Told me it was done, published and then: whoops, HD takes longer than expected. Wonder if the audio was meh whilst sd or something.
so far this is the best video on this machine that I've found
Love to read that!
I just ordered the 988/680 combo. Can't wait to try them out.
Great review Tom! I'm considering buying one later this year
Thx man!
Appreciate this video, man! Thank you for the review!
Appreciate the comment!
Kickass, I want one, thanks for the demo.
Any time!
Great video. Cant wait for mine to come in!
Thx man!

@@pernstar I'm not denying I haven't done it in the past
Great video
Great video! Does it work with motorcycle tires?
Just bought this machine. Where does the does the secondary arm connect to air? I cannot figure it out.
I have a new 950 what type of oil should I use

Seating those Acceleras is a pain lol. But I do love the price on them for the grip they offer
The 960 is just the 950 changer with the extra arm attachment, I believe it's the 300
Those helpers are coming in really handy. Some tires are a pain....
Oh, no doubt.

Is that 21 gallon compressor running it? Do you feel it’s big enough?

With Amazon free shipping does that include getting off truck? Thanks in advance
Thats a question for the seller. I wasn't charged for lift gate service, but that doesn't mean it's always gonna be that way.
@@pernstar thanks
Just ordered one myself and got it within 2 weeks, They offered free liftgate service as I am in a residential area here in SoCal.
Can you link the air fitting you ended up having to use?

@@pernstar oh ok I’ll probably do the same. Could the section where the fitting screws in be tapped for a standard hobo freight one?
I doubt it.
The proper fittings can be found online. I forgot the name. Like g23 or something.
I just didn't want to wait for them to ship. Lol
Just screw in tight a taped 1/4" fitting. It's fine and holds air for hours
Wish my overpriced red machine with a crap on badge had helper arms! I could trade it in and be better off with this model. Thanks PS.

It's so hard to hear you m8
really? Dang. I checked the levels with my headphones and seemed fine.
Not at all. Gotta check your audio man.
