This is the first of two videos where we show how to analyse surface roughness and wear from 3D STL (point cloud) X-ray CT data.
In the first part we explain the difference between 2.5D (surface) and 3D (point cloud) data then how to import, rotate, section, resample and extract the surface of interest from STL data.
