Great video and your open, friendly, non judgemental attitude really showed the locals you were genuine and interested in their area and lives. It seems in the Philippines the poorer and less the people have, the more friendly and accommodating they are willing to give what little they have. In many cultures the wealthy become selfish and untrusting due to money. The people of the Philippines are very special and Western culture could learn a lot from them.

HELLO from Seattle ☕. I think you might be too far to go to a place I've been viewing for the last few months. It's in Davao, Aquinas St. There's a bakery there painted red, opens at 5am. and seeing many of the same faces everyday is awesome. The street over is Solimon St. and already I recognize people there as well. If you ever get there would be sweet!!

You showed a side of the Philippines that very few Western travelers would ever see. I've only been to the Philippines once, back in 2018. While in Manila I spent a short time in Tondo, the city's biggest slum. I was met with smiling faces and people eager to pose for my camera. I would have spent more time there but Hurricane Mangkut, which crashed into northern Luzon, created high winds and driving rain that seriously threatened the life of my camera. The winds got so strong that I couldn't hold an umbrella to protect my camera gear so I cut my visit short.
