  • Shree Kshetra Perara is loacted at Perara which is at a a distance of about 20 Kms from Mangalore. In the present days of modern lifestyle, Shree Kshetra still glorify with the adoption of unique cultural richness which can be seen during the celebration of annual festival. Shree Kshetra is the home for Nagabrahma, Shastru (Lord Ayyappa), Arasu Daiva (Ullakulu), Balavandi and Pilichamundi (Vyagra Chamundi), with Balavandi being considered to be the main deity which is learnt from the history of Shree Kshetra. This was incepted during the glory days of Jain Kings who ruled the Tulunadu.
    Balavandi Kshetra is administered by 16 chief families which is epicenter to the surrounding nearby villages of Mangalore taluk namely Bajpe, Mooduperara, Ganjimata & Kattalsaar
