Dude. Seriously. Bless you. Eternal gratitude for the calm opening. I was, as always, at the ready to skip a minute into the video to avoid the shrieking, manic intros we've all come to expect and then you, all calm and composed, whispering warning and still never going hyper-enthused. I had a real "What the...?" moment as the video started and instinctual moves with the mouse had me shooting the video 40 seconds forward but then, "What the...? What was that?" I believe I am correct in saying I have never in my life started a RUclips video again to listen. You are a treat to the ears. Oh, and fabulous hack too. Thank you for taking the time to share.
I bought one of these a while back for clothes and it immediately snagged both types of fabric I tried it on. I think the damn thing is in a yard sale box somewhere, now i'll have to dig it out! Thank you!
if it is any consolation - my one snagged too. I thought it was faulty - it is as if there are a couple of sharp bits that snag on the fabric of the sofa. - but after seeing this video I think I will go get a wood file and file down any sharp bits!!!! I have two cats and my carpets and sofa need to be cleared of any hair!!!!
This with rubber gloves does the trick anytime - rubber gloves help you scoop up all the fluff!! If you use damp rubber gloves it also does a great job of getting those last few pet hairs and fluff!!!! AWESOME video. I have one of these things as you can guess (since I am using with rubber gloves) but it does snag !!!! After watching you - I will go dig it out and file it down with a metal file, see if that gets rid of any snagging. THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!!
@@diymakescents160 Yes that would be about right. but I really need to get the sofa cleaned with cat hair !!!!! Ahhhhhh!! I have lots of stuff for this purpose but nothing ever does a GREAT job. rubber brush, rubber gloves, lint remover (sticky) velvet lint roller thing, Vacuum of course and a whole drawer full of gadgets to remove pet hair, - long story short - pet hair still on sofa!!! I ended up putting covers on the sofa and removing them if I had visitors !!!so at least the sofa is clean under pet covers.
OK, I'm trying this. I've tried everything to revive my carpet. It's cheap and despite vacuuming it looks bad. Pretty sure it's the same one from the previous tenants.
Is this damaging the carpet fibers? I live in an apartment and would love to try it but I’m nervous my landlord would saw we damaged he carpet. Our stair carpet has longer fibers than yours. Thanks!
No, it didn't damage my carpet at all; it removes the loose fibers. I tried a capture that in the video with closeups. I understand your concern and recommend trying it on an area out of normal view - behind the door, under a cabinet, etc. if you choose to purchase this item. Thanks for watching Sandy 💯

So, I have something like this that’s for whole rooms of carpet. But it’s just so tiring and doesn’t seem to get everything. I’m going to try this brand on my stairs and then see they have a bigger one for whole rooms if I like it.
I read a tip last week (when I was shampooing my carpet) that said after you've gone over it with whatever cleaner you are using, to go over it again with plain hot water in the tank. The person suggesting it said it would leave the carpet fluffier, and also removes the extra residue that usually causes carpet to become dirty again pretty quick after shampooing with chemicals (I typically use only hot water and vinegar and it was my first time using actual carpet cleaning chemicals). As far as I can tell, she was right - the carpet in my bedroom is nice and fluffy again. Going to try the same method when I do the rest of the house.
I've seen it on Amazon, but Shein has them reeeeally cheap. UPDATE: I purchased one from Shein, to give it a try, and honestly - it's trash. Spend the extra money and purchase a better quality one. 👌🏾
Isn’t the “fluff ball” carpet fiber that is supposed to stay in the carpet? I mean all of “ fluff ball” can’t be all nastiness? I mean several treatments will make the carpet bald and thin won’t it?
Those stepd obviously have not been vacuumed for quite awhile. That tool sounds, and looks, like it is tearing out the carpet fibers. You can easily see those are carpet fibers being removed.
Of course the carpet hasn't been vacuumed in a while, clearly you didn't watch the entire video. Regarding this product tearing out carpet fibers, I disagree. I've used this even on brand new carpets/rugs causing zero damage. It's only removing old loose fibers that shouldn't be there anyway and that anyone would want gone. You honestly think I would share a product that would cause property damage? Preciate your input Grant.
There’s always one who sees every glass half empty. Very negative and sad👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 Hope joy comes soon! I appreciate this video and her efforts to positively help others‼️👏👏👏👍
I got mine from Amazon, you gotta get the metal one with the wood handle. Great quality and will get the job done over and over. Thanks for watching Richard 💯

This is genius! I need a big version though for the heavy used areas of my carpet 🥲🥲
ARE YOU KIDDING ME! THIS IS GENIUS!!!
Thank you JaMara!! 😁
You may have just saved my sanity!

I gotta do this weekend. Thank you for the idea
No problem 👍🏾
You must have CRAZY arm muscles!!!! Thanks for this! Im gonna try
🤣🤣 Once you start and immediately see the results, you don't wanna stop! Thanks Tania! 💪🏾💯
Dang I’ve been looking for a longer one
Thank you for this tip. Hope you ignore the unthinking comments. You would only need to do this once a year, if that.
I appreciate that Jamie 💯

Will you send the link of the really good metal lint remover you used in the video? Thank you!!

What's did you get that metal lint remover? I can't believe the difference!
Thank you Klyn, the results shocked me too! I believe I left the link down in the comments. 😊
I shampooed my carpet for the first time. The color is brighter and it looks cleaner, but the fibers look more matted now. I hope this works.

@@madlife3770 Thanks. I'll try that next time.
What about the wide areas?
Thank you for sharing! All the best to you!!
You're welcome Tarsha! Thank you 😊
And you can't slide down on your butt!! I love your video's, love the common sense last expensive!
this is dope. thanks for sharing
Where did you buy your metal line remover from?
I've seen it on Amazon, but Shein has them reeeeally cheap.

Hi, my friend! Great video as usual!
Thank you Tu - preciate that! 😊

Thank you!! Wonderful sound!
Thank you SuperKiKiara!
i just bought a metal carpet rake and it's pulling up strings of carpet. I wish I'd bought this instead!
I'm glad you found this helpful Steph!
It's kind of like brushing my cat no gonna lie
Frozen Burrito BINGO! 🎯🎯🎯🤣🤣💯
yea this isn't going to fluff up jack, might want to try and Vaccum first anyhow. Better off using a Fork or a stiff nylon bristle brush
LB, chill out
Idk man the before n after is pretty dang impressive...besides, who tf has time to do all that with a fork?!
What is the tool? heheh, there's no link.
Hi Kelsi, if you search "wood portable lint roller" in amazon, you'll find it.
Good Lord I did know she was going to do her whole stairs
Cynthia, anything else would be uncivilized lol; thanks for watching 👍🏾
Ok, I get it.
👍🏾
By the time you get all those dust mites and dander up your nose, you'll wish you would have rented a shampooer!🤣🤣🤣🤣

You can be on a regular vacuuming schedule and those vacuums just don't get down in the fibers, just on top of them
In a perfect world of course, but life be happening.
@@cilcy849 That depends on what vacuum you have. Buy a quality vacuum and it well suck
So wut, looks better right!
Wut you want, your carpet to grow old gracefully and die a natural death, revive that mf!
She going to comb her carpet bald in a couple year if she does this weekly 😅

Lady, do you know how much time and elbow grease, this would take! Make it easy on yourself. Just go and get a carpet shampooer! Thank me later
You're weird.
And where can you get a metal lint remover? I can only find the sticky rolls.
