Yea I totally agree. Especially for a turn based game which in some scenarios where a specific character is needed to complete the entire game. There will be a time where some mobs and bosses will have debuffs,buffs, and immunity and a fully stacked 4 star team wouldnt be able to complete it without RNG and months and months of grinding.

You can't say you are not to concerned of what will come in the future because it is doomed to happen eventually. I fully understand your point but it will come a time where it will be like genshin impact where bosses or mobs are immune to certain types of elements or applies debuffs or maybe even slowing down your characters and having some of these 5 stars are so beneficial to keeping your sanity and making the game actually enjoyable instead of just another spin off of genshin impact where every new characters just outshines the previous in damage/flexibility/counters a certain type of enemy in the game. So I only use childe with with strong additional 4 stars, like xiangling, xingqiu, etc. and I still can clear abyss smoothly, even tho yes, abyss recently is more harder than usual. But here is the thing, endgame on genshin is still clearable with strong 4 stars chara and they give you these strong 4 stars chara from the beginning of the games, same with star rail, the beginner 4 stars are strong too, but I get what why everyone is concern, it's because turn base genre. So my take is, I will repeat it again, as long it's not impossible to clear with a low rarity even tho I have to try harder, I don't see any problem. If there is pvp, then I see that concern may happen just like Tower of Fantasy or Epic Seven, but for pve like genshin and star rail, I don't see it's happening in long run. I still considered genshin is still pretty easy and enjoyable, and till nowadays I still don't feel an obligation to pull for these op 5 stars to keep my sanity and enjoying the game and I think star rail will go with the same direction, but more challenging. But is the challenge will be enjoyable? Only the future and yourself who can tell. On another note I see now on how you can tell right away if the pull has 5 star in it or not. The ticket itself gets distorted right before the train comes in. Look and compare the ticket at 5:14 and 7:21.
This effect is called chromatic aberration! It looks really cool, but i wish I hadn't noticed it at all so I could feel the thrill of finding out it's a 5* from the golden door animation 😅
