Revival's pickups sound extremely good. I'd be happy with both brands. Maybe I'll go for the Revival just for the price and still be incredibly happy. Nice demo!

Seymour Duncan rewound Jimi's pickups when he was alive. There the ones to go with!

Great sound out of the revival pickups. I would be interested to know your amp and pedal settings. You really had a nice tone coming out of those strats. The Revival set had a bit more bight and growl when you dug in with the pick. Much more accurate of a Jimi sound then the Seymour Duncan set. They seem a little brighter with a touch of glassy especially in the bridge position on the higher strings. Revival did a pretty good Job.

I think Seymours sound better for some things. Toss up for everything else

Sounds like the Duncans are slightly more mid scooped.

Ok... i think the SD set has more attack and definition... and are more "sparkling" in the mids/mids-high. In the mids/lows are pretty similar. So... for an Hendrix tone i love the SD... BUT... i hate the "brand new" white color and the script on the plastic shell! I wander if SD offer an "old/vintage white" with no script version!

You can change the pickup covers.

The SD’s easily sound more accurate for a fact. Seymour Duncan was the man who literally crafted jimi’s guitar tone on his white Stratocaster. For accuracy, the Seymour Duncan’s win all the way.

The Rivival set sounds slightly hotter. What's the ohms resistants comparing the both?

@@GuitarEmerge I am skeptical about the 3 Seymour(s) being 6K. It's the first time I ever heard that a set of 3s being the same resistance..

@@simonliew9728 I think the 3 CS '69s are also the same somewhere around 5.8 if not mistaken.

      Great comparison!
Yeah ... the SDs sound more balanced and rounded. Worth paying for if you have the $s.
But I would not shun some of the sounds the RVs put out. I liked them.
