I didn't mean any disrespect. As we all know, it is the individual rider's ability to get the most out of a motorcycle on a given circuit. Given equal and average ability, most riders will lap faster on a middleweight bike over a litre bike, depending upon the track of course (e.g. Monza vs. Donington). That's what I meant by no matter what happens in the corners, when the BMW pulls the trigger on the decent straight - given he is in range of the 675 - buy-bye!

Believe that is where the ignition was. Can save some weight since you don't need it on a race bike :)

Whats a good beginner bike for someone who hasnt even had much experience with a scooter or dirtbike? I was kind of thinking of the Ninja ZX-6R but I have no idea what would be too much for the first experience. I also want it under 14,000$

No matter what happens in the corners, it would be absolutely CRUSHED down that straight, what with a S1000RR race bike having about 75 more hp than a Daytona 675, even a built one...

Yeah I wouldn't do very well on a track because of my skill level. I would love to go to a track and get better at it though. Sadly there are no tracks around my area so I have no chance.. :(

its where the ignition barrel used to be when it came out of the factory, you dont need one on a race bike.

depends on your riding style what the purpose of getting a motorcycle is for you. I think a 600 is a good starting point, however, many people will disagree. One thing is for sure, get what you want. Get that bike that you will obsesses over. But keep that thing locked up. My obsession was stolen about a month ago. And it was the second bike stolen from me this year.

Oh I never said how it would so against this bike. It's a BMW first off.. and second its a 1000 so I know it wouldn't stand a chance. I just wondered how well it would do being a 675 and all.
