It was crazy I listened to this music since 2000. My best friend is Vietnamese and he turned me onto Trance and Asian Break Beats and I loved it every since.
Actually of viets use to be in the rave scene when it first came out anyways..always cause trouble there too lol thats how usually vietnamese Og's always listen to trance, and thats why viet cafe shop always plays trance. But there should be a division on edm, theres the more pumped up one and more relaxing one,

It took 15 years longer than I would have liked for it to be more popular, but hey nobody will be making fun of us for listening to this music now since everybody and their mother has pretty much started listening to it and these types of beats permeate pop now like no other, which give them a distinctive electronic sound.
