I bought a lot of 151 products, spent a lot , I have 28 posters, 5 binders , 3 playmats, and a shit ton of promos , no sealed packs, in my opinion the best pull rates are the mini tins
Walmart was restocking the 151 booster bundles every other week couple months ago. I ended up picking up 100 over the couple months they were restocking for around $30 after tax. Thinking back I can’t imagine why I spent so much, but glad I did!
Sheesh... I don't see the value in English 151. The Japanese prints look sooooo much cleaner, and with the masterball holos I don't see any reason anyone would want English, other than the few people that just refuse to have something that's not American 😂
@@SurfNturfz well I think the $2k I made in profit(spent $3k) says a lot about public opinion on English 151 booster bundles. I have 30ish Japanese BB as well. As of now Japanese 151 has been printed to the ground and prices have reflected it. I’m hoping they don’t do a shining fates on English or Japanese 151

I just had a conversation this past week with my wife about holding out buying singles to complete our 151 set until this fall/winter with the speculation of a reprint.
To me 151 is the best set since Base set but, i might be a bit of a gen 1 fan. I hope they print to oblivion so i can get it cheap. Then we can open alot and store loads for the future. Yes the singles will go down but, that makes it a good time to pick up nice SIR in good condition for cheap. Btw I can preorder booster bundles for Q4 where i live would you like to see it? I could send you a screenshot or something. One of my favourite video's so far! Keep it going and i think you might be at 10k within the week this channel is growing so fast.
The best part of ordering 151 for me was pre-ordering the booster bundles from best buy one per day for a couple of weeks. They were slightly delayed so I got a 5 dollar credit for each order. But because best buy made me make an order for each box they were all essentially 5 dollars off. That said I opened more than one booster bundle that had literally zero hits, not even a regular ex. The hits were all over the place in 151.
Just got into Pokemon cards with my wife . We found a 151 binder in our local town . Has fun opening it but then found out the set are so hard to find to buy so if a reprint we can actually finish it . NZ is rather expensive for these sorts of things .
I really hope they reprint this set in English. It's great for collecting, opening, trading. Literally everyone looks for these cards. Hopefully I can get my hands on a few booster bundles if it happens

151 was and is being handled so well. I think my only complaint about the set is the staff exclusive Voltorb, ruining many collectors master sets with an essentially unobtainable card. I have been collecting Voltorb since 2002 in English and Japanese, and it really stinks to have such a rare card come to the 151 set.
I live in western Australia, why do I get the feeling that even though there's a reprint incoming, I still won't see a 151 booster bundle available anywhere? 😂 This sets a slam dunk and a second reprint is awesome but those booster bundles will be out of stock so fast, blink and you'll miss them 👀
Obligatory "I also got back into the hobby because of 151" post. Ripped an absurd amount of packs, currently sitting on a complete master set in english. No regrets.
I got back into the set after not collecting since a kid (I'm 33 now), but then saw how bad the scalping was with the bundles and then could never find anything in shops, so gave up on 151 and was quite disheartened. Went to CZ instead, but if they reprint 151, I'll be pretty happy. Get some sealed and try finish the set.
This reprint is a good thing. For me its that corner that you turn that signifies to me that its time to invest. 6 months after this reprint we should see prices return to their highs and a year after prices should start gradually climbing to new highs. We should also see some inflated gains near tax time which happens every year at the end of February thru May.
They will have to stop print some time, whether it is this year or in 5 years. no matter what it will increase in value in the long haul 10-25 years. Long term investment. Going to buy more, keep half sealed and other rip open and have fun with it.
This is what ive been saying to everyone on Reddit; reprints are GOOD for the set. Sure supply goes up but so will DEMAND as more people get access to 151 and its reputation grows. I have like 10 friends in their 30s that only recently started buying Pokemon thanks to 151 😆
I pray what you said about the Alakazam card is true. I got back into Pokemon cards and that's my favorite pokemon. I paid $40 for the card and hope to build worth with my future collection. Btw if you're giving out Alakazam cards PLEASE CHOOSE ME!
I reckon the best 151 products to invest in are the booster bundles alongside the PC ETBs. I doubt the PC ETBs will be reprinted at this stage, but potentially a restock. I'm in the UK and I missed the initial release of these PC ETBs but around March, they had a short period where they became available. I ordered 4 which came in the original case and the label had instructions to not retail them before the 22nd of September 2023. Probably means they were just stored in the warehouse and not new reprints. The weren't sold out for a good couple of weeks so maybe they managed to clear them all out. During this time the booster bundles were also available on the PC website so they're potentially just releasing the products in waves rather than reprinting. I've seen the bundles being released in waves through Amazon but it's been a while since they've had them for retail price.
I completely agree on 151 need La a reprint. The only reason a reprint hurts is because it might decrease the value of a set, but long term we’ve seen even through reprints value does return as nostalgia sets in. And what an incredible set, they really did a base set revamp like you said and personally I like it TONS better than generations or evolution. Can’t wait to see what it’s like in 5 years 👍

Crazy that I can still go get booster bundles from Pokémon vending machines for $26.49 in my area. Obviously they’re not available every day, but they appear to get regular restocks.
I prey this is the case, only just got the itch to get back into collecting recently and I really want to collect the 151 set but can't get anything outside of the rare OTB and if they are in stock they are way overpriced or singles in Australia it's just not worth even trying to collect right now.
It is difficult to hear because I have a case of 151 etbs and bunch of other sealed products. This was the sv set that was performing the best in my portfolio, so my stock is gonna tank. Ultimately, my planned hold is about 5 years. Don’t think it’ll make a huge difference considering a bunch of stock will be bought this holiday season

This is crazy, I never bought anything from Pokemon, but when I discovered 151, it only had the old Pokemon and none of the new ones, which honestly I don't care about. I started buying boxes. When I looked online, I discovered that I wasn't the only one who started collecting because of this collection.

151 has dragged in so many new and returning collectors. Eventhough i have almost completed my master set, i would love a reprint or several as we want even more people coming back into the hobby. The ripple effects are real, these people then want more of everything else. Especially vintage original gen 1 cards.
Idk.. Like many others 151 got me back and I have been buying a sh*t ton of singles to complete the masterset.. right now, it looks like a rough decision as a reprint will tank the price, but I still think (hope) the set is destined to rise in price over the long term.

I don't think it's gonna be a huge reprint, and I personally think of this as more of a restock. I think we will start seeing ETB's bundled with some other S&V tins and things like that. They are already doing that and some Costco stores have a ton of 151 product. While expensive, the UPC's are readily available at MSRP or lower. My Costco had a pallet of them and they were selling them for $90. A lot of product was sniped when it was first released so there's a lot of folks who are sitting on this stock at home. Time will tell but I don't think we will get a massive restock and I don't think it'll have much affect on the singles prices. Some of the cards are already very undervalued.

How can you tell with these 151 cards if it’s first edition ? Like the original said first edition on it these don’t hope someone that knows reads this and can shed some light 👍
Hey Rob, first editions aren’t a thing anymore with Pokemon, they ended 1st Editon cards a long time ago. Now there’s no way to distinguish between them.
@robgray2786 don't feel that way I was thinking the same thing, I was helping my daughter collect and I saw 151 and got excited to collect myself again I've got about 23 percent of the set and now I can't find it anywhere except way over priced online. I got excited about reprint news and Immediately thought oh man what if they have a reprint stamp or something signifying that it's a second run. I never got to finish my base set as a child I only needed 20 mor cards I still have the incomplete set. I thought 151 would be a new chance to finish a set with pokemon I actually like. But man is it hard to find. Anyways thank you for asking this question.

It's not a REPRINT at all actually. It's a RESTOCK. All the product they are putting out in bundle deals with other products. These cards have already been printed and Pokemon was just trickling the releases, now they are using it to bundle old or product that's not moving. "Yes we will sell you 151 Distributers BUTyou also have to take these poppy battle boxes bo one wants" type deal going on with the RESTOCK not REPRINT.
It's going to be a very limited restock with mostly booster bundles. It's not just an unlimited reprint. They have a lot of stock from other sets that isn't selling and a lot of stock sitting from 151 still in the warehouse. They will offer a certain amount of 151 products (mostly booster bundles) for a good price, but in order to get that 151 for a good price, you have to take a bunch of other product from unpopular sets that basically makes it annoying. People think it's just a complete reprint coming but in reality it's more of a strategic restock to try and offload other product that isn't selling, by saying "oh you can have some more 151 products for a good price if you take these products that aren't in demand much as well".
@@PokiDonnieI’ve heard a lot of store owners talk about this type of thing where Pokemon will only sell you certain things if you also take a bunch of other stuff as well. It’s a really greasy way of forcing shops to buy a bunch of garbage essentially. I feel like that’s why they make the tins too. 99% of the time you open a tin there’s at least 1 shit pack in it that nobody wants haha. Pokémon’s gotta make that money and not willing to take a loss when they make a shit product 😂
It has to be reprinted I can’t find at shops that’s fair. But it is so annoying because I really want to explore more of scarlet and violet genre of ancient Pokémon and I’m a gen 1 kid.
the amount of 151 that was sold none of it should hold any value they sold millions and millions of these boosters and the rarest cards still have 100ks plus out on the market easily. comparing this to base set is insane as they made 100000x more of 151 then base set
Nah I don’t see a reprint happening, not with the possibility of god packs and not with all these new sets on the way already. There’s still Paldean fates and paradox rift sitting on shelves.

Reprints are great for us collectors. This is more of a restock though. So i don't think prices will drop as much.

These cards have already been printed and Pokemon was just trickling the releases, now they are using it to bundle old or product that's not moving. "Yes we will sell you 151 Distributers BUTyou also have to take these poppy battle boxes bo one wants" type deal going on with the RESTOCK not REPRINT.
Booster bundles were selling for $50 at my local card shop . Hopefully they can come down to $25

it's a reprint
It's going to be a very limited restock with mostly booster bundles. It's not just an unlimited reprint. They have a lot of stock from other sets that isn't selling and a lot of stock sitting from 151 still in the warehouse. They will offer a certain amount of 151 products (mostly booster bundles) for a good price, but in order to get that 151 for a good price, you have to take a bunch of other product from unpopular sets that basically makes it annoying. People think it's just a complete reprint coming but in reality it's more of a strategic restock to try and offload other product that isn't selling, by saying "oh you can have some more 151 products for a good price if you take these products that aren't in demand much as well".

@@georgeallen4007 yeah they're up to $70 in Canada right now, some $60-65 if you're lucky on Facebook Marketplace but mostly sold now.

@@PokiDonnieI’ve heard a lot of store owners talk about this type of thing where Pokemon will only sell you certain things if you also take a bunch of other stuff as well. It’s a really greasy way of forcing shops to buy a bunch of garbage essentially. I feel like that’s why they make the tins too. 99% of the time you open a tin there’s at least 1 shit pack in it that nobody wants haha. Pokémon’s gotta make that money and not willing to take a loss when they make a shit product 😂
It has to be reprinted I can’t find at shops that’s fair. But it is so annoying because I really want to explore more of scarlet and violet genre of ancient Pokémon and I’m a gen 1 kid.

I went to target everyday for last two weeks and was able to get one 151 etb 🤣
the amount of 151 that was sold none of it should hold any value they sold millions and millions of these boosters and the rarest cards still have 100ks plus out on the market easily. comparing this to base set is insane as they made 100000x more of 151 then base set

Nah I don’t see a reprint happening, not with the possibility of god packs and not with all these new sets on the way already. There’s still Paldean fates and paradox rift sitting on shelves.
