Just so everyone knows but Hoyoverse didn’t just make up this dance. Nilou’s dancing style (and everything else about her) is based off of my homeland if Iran. Her dance is a traditional dance is done usually at ceremonies. Her name, Nilou, is short for Niloufar which is a female name which translates to blue lotus. Her signature dish, swirling steps, original recipe padisarah pudding is (if I’m not wrong) based off of tar halva, a dessert which, I don’t really enjoy but many other Persians love. The only two things that I would change personally about her would be her clothing, since it’s based more off of belly dancing even though us Persians do not show the skin on our torso that much. But overall her design and personality and everything about her is pretty accurate compared to Iran.

All because she is the most different character in Sumeru. She is not a scholar, nor some kind of warrior/mercenary, and not even with the darkest past. She just simply happens to love art in a nation full of people focused to studies/sciences.
