Sandras sportsmanship is so heartwarming. She didn’t cry or beat herself up, she smiled and I believe she knows she still did a beautiful job despite the fall. So very gracious.
I think Izbasa looks beautiful with her makeup and hair complimented by the leotard. Such a contrast to what she looked like when she won floor gold in Beijing.

Izbasa has retired, Ferrari is battling her Achilles, Biles is back and better than ever, Murakami is world champion, Iordache is living life, Steingruber is strong, but ah the good times of Romanian Renaissance, Larisa Iordache, Sandra Izbasa, with hope that the juniors could have saved them, before Montreal.

well if it was overtime in the finals..it would have to have been overtime in quals as well, and if that was the case she would have never made finals in the first place, so I believe that it's an error that she paid for...basically it's something that she couldn't control and it's not fair. Reminds me of Pavlova in 2008 vault.
The fact that so many people are dissatisfied with Simon Biles' score just shows how easy she makes all those difficult tumbling moves look. The focus is not on whether she can perform them but on whether she can perfect them. :)
At first ,when she took the floor olympic title away from Shawn and Nastia ,I hated Izsbasa. But she made me love her work and gymnastics because she is so elegant and clean in her landings .I began to understand why she was so much better than Shawn and Nastia in Beijing .I really wanted her to win here tho.
I love gymnastics because of the variety of styles that are on display. Its called artistic gymnastics because it open to interpretation. There are all different types of gymnasts who have to play to their strengths. If all gymnasts had the balletic style, the sport would be boring. I love Ally Raisman, Simone Biles, and Jordyn Weiber for that exact reason. They are power gymnasts who are graceful in their own way. I also love Viktoria Komova, Anna Pavlova, and Aliya Mustafina for their elegance and beautiful presentation. Now unless you can do a double double, Arabian double pike, or a triple twist and do a plié in 5th position then stand down! Stop hating and appreciate all gymnast for what they bring to the table.

Thanks for uploading this. Have done some gymnastics when I was younger, but i was never really good. But I do enjoy watching the pro's. Artistic gymnastics is such a beautiful balance of acrobatics, elegance, rythem and flexibility.
K Pan they started the clock way too early which made her overtimed. Which is something they should have addressed because it's how McKayla Maroney didn't make the final
AfanasyevaFan The clock started early for some gymnasts but no time penalties were given to them. It was a machine error so again they were not penalized at all for being "overtime". As for Maroney she was deducted because she overtimed by 0.1 (she started her routine too early than usual).
How could Mai not medal? For real that was one of the worst Worlds in term of judging. The scores were never even, it was either overscored or underscored. Also my heart broke for Sandra Izabsa, what a gymnast this girl was, certainly has a lot to be proud, not many of them can say they got two gold individual medals in two different Olympics and she carried Romania on her back those last 2 quads!
I wonder if Mai got a neutral deduction for overtime. You can see her time is 1 minute 37secs on the board behind her at 6:17 and again at 6:31. I don't know if they took the deduction though, because I timed her routine as around 10 seconds under what the board shows.
Mai Murakami should have WON this Floor title, I'm blown away she only got 4th. Her routine is much cleaner than Simone's and has better dance too. Kyla Ross was also screwed over and should have placed ahead of Ferrari and Iorache. Btw, did Murakami get plastic surgery? She looks like a completely different person in 2015 than she did in 2013/2014.
Mai Murakami was the real world champion! Dynamic and precise tumbling complimented by sophisticated and enthralling dance. The code of points is so convoluted and the judge's scores so obfuscated to allow Simon Biles to win with a difficult, but clearly uninspired and robotic performance. This is ARTISTIC GYMNASTICS not ACROBATICS.
i could never EVER EVER EVER do that if itryed but i always will try so NEVER give up ill keep trying im only 12 i got more years to practice . i think the only way i will be that good is if i practice every 5 mins. and mia is only 22 she is really good an i will never probaby be the olimpics but ill NEVER EVER give up :)
Murakami lost 0.5 for the requirement of joined jumps. If you look at the second jump, it does not reach a split position, so they probably discredited it.
If she missed the requirement, it would have been deducted from the D score. She had only -0.2 on D - probably from stepping to the side on the gomez and getting a triple only. However, she definitely was punished heavily on her leaps and perhaps the leap choreography out of the bounding pass
D Leo she didn't receive any neutral deductions to her score, meaning: no out of bounds, no overtime. If you check the video the clock was running before she stepped onto the floor, the judges are able to fix technical problems
D Leo I would bet her leap choreography out of the bounding pass was counted as a -0.1 to -0.3 hop, and that she lost -0.3 to -0.4 on her leap series (leg separation not 180, not quite parallel to the ground in flight).
Stupid idea, because different people have different ideas on artistry. It's supposed to reflect your character, not be all graceful with violin music and stuff necessarily.
+Kojo Baidoo Exactly. There are different styles of artistry, and it is easy to tell what feeling the gymnast is going for. Fragapani compared with Mustafina would have different styles, both which could get a good artistic score. But it's also very easy to tell when there's no artistry. Obviously it doesn't apply to some of the apparatus but floor and beam for sure.

They mention all gymnasts extra steps on landing but don't mention Biles bounds backwards on landing which are quite big sometimes

The timer started before she even started her first movement, so it's wrong. In the end she didn't get any time deduction.
