This is all fine and good. The important thing that is missing is auto summon. I had enhanced auto summon on my 2018 Model 3, and I had a legitimate need for it twice. Both incidents happened in parking garages when some 'person' decided to park so close to my car that I could not open the door enough to get in. Using summon, I was able to back the car up enough to easily get in. If that ever happens with my 2023 Model Y, I'll be SOL.
When I got the MY last year, I was told enhanced summon would be available 'soon'. That was 360 days ago.
Don't get me wrong, I still think my Model Y is a great car and getting better with FSD, but I really miss enhanced summon.

Well this Parking Assist with my Model Y maybe helpful, but I still don't rely on it to be 100 percent accurate. When I pull into my garage (front of car first), there is no count down to STOP anymore, and when it tells me to STOP and alarms, I am at least "2 feet" from the back wall or any objects against that wall. I do not trust or believe its accuracy and rely on my eyes to do my final STOP. I also fold my mirrors pulling into my garage.
The 3D graphics of objects around the vehicle look like blobs or silhouettes of actual objects, so make your judgements on also what you see with your eyes and how close you are to them.
I would say you can use this aid, but don't trust it to get right up against something. I never do back up parking with this aid, only going forward so I can see what it is doing.
Use your own judgement with this tool.

I've been driving a Tesla M3 for many years and am usually open to new technologies.
But despite all the enthusiasm, I think we should leave the church in the village.
For me, what Tesla is offering here is at most a nice gimmick, because we are talking about a parking aid, i.e. a system that is supposed to help you park. If the system on offer is unsuitable for its intended purpose because it does not recognize obstacles to the front or rear, detects all sorts of things in the rain and, since the discontinuation of the USS, does not provide reliable information on distance, then for me this is not a revolutionary technology, but rather one poor parking aid with fancy graphics.
If I had the choice, I would immediately swap the Tesla's computer-generated display for the system with the 360 degree camera image display including USS, which most cars have installed as standard these days. Although I don't have the wow effect when the Tesla detects any object, I do have a system that fulfills its purpose of existence almost 100% correctly and that I can trust in all weather conditions.
Despite all the enthusiasm for technology, evolution always comes before revolution, but because Tesla always prefers revolution, we dummy testers now have to use our metal.
