Years ago I saw a duet song by Olly Alexander and Kwabs and Olly Alexander also recorded a duet song with Kele Okereke. I don't know, I rather find it boring, still more interesting than Sweden, though.
I do a blind, randomized listen-through of the full list of entries every year. So, I don't even know which song goes with which country [except when I recognize the language, like Italy or France]. When Sweden came up on my blind listen-through, my first thought was, "Oh … oh, no, what crap has England selected _this_ time?!?!" And I only got halfway through it before I had to skip ahead. When I got to "Dizzy," I still didn't know whose song went with who. "Dizzy" didn't make me wanna shove pencils into my eardrums, but it didn't really excite me, and I didn't remember it after either my first or second listenthrough.
When I saw that this was the UK's entry, I kinda felt bad for him and the UK. England can produce great pop music, but they never send any of _that_ to the ESC, it seems. This is _okay,_ but if it weren't from one of the Big5, I don't know that it would qualify.
The UK song is sooo much better than the Swedish entry.
