    You cannot mention Afrobeats without the big three (Burna, Davido, Whiz), you cannot use one guys who is capping to rep everyone, Burna has the concert numbers to prove it, that is money spent

      Burna Boy does have concert numbers, but that does make you the best. Have concert number but your music isn’t selling in the US. Wizkid is the most popular Afrobeats artist in US, even Tems sell more than Burna Boy in US

      The US is not the world, wake up from your stupidity! The US is only just latching on to the popularity of Afrobeats .. don’t even begin to underrate Burna Boys world-wife fame and all -round success for parochial reasons!

    the album is called Sad Romance for a reason
    He did something unique
    I understand if u might not like every song on the album but, come on, you can't tell me songs like "Emiliana" , "Samson and Delilah" , "you" and the newly released "hallelujah" aren't masterpieces

    One day, you will see Nigerian politics get better and the economy will blow like the music and lots of people will be coming back and making money. Then what will you do? Mother Africa is calling loud for her children and soon all the bad leaders will be gone. Better PREPARE

    No people love what's good not only what is popular, Michael Jackson was popular because he was super good, you seem biased against Burna, not every Afrobeats artist has to be your taste but there is no need to try to downgrade his appeal

      Ye, Anybody, Angelina, Gbona are some of my faves, the instruments are just so smooth and embodies more of the old school Naija sound

    • @WilonaJoy
      @WilonaJoy  Год назад

      I’m not downgrading him. If you kept watching the video, at some point I did say “I’ll give Burna Boy his flowers”. Cause he did win a Grammy. And regardless of my taste, being a musician takes a lot of hard work. And he did put in the work. ruclips.net/video/3nmcWCdojhw/видео.html

    Afrobeats is about the sound. Adding African traditional instruments like talking drum, a recent example is Rema's Charm. It started with western instruments then added ukuse(African beads tied to a calabash). Try to come to naija and meet some sound creators. Pidgin English is simple bad/street English and if that is difficult for you, then it's about time you learn your tribe language. And don't even tell me you can't speak. Learn your language and add to your song

    You seem to have a problem with Chloe, Ayra and Burna Boy all in one video, that's a lot of shade at 3 people (female behaviour?), your list also seems female heavy which you are entitled to, got anything against the fellas?
    I am assuming Chloe just pick a song just resonated with her, it ain't that deep, some jumped on the wagon late and said I like that one when going through a backlog catalogue of Afrobeats song

    • @WilonaJoy
      @WilonaJoy  Год назад

      Not sure what video you watched but I did not throw shade at any of them. Especially Chloe & Ayra. Got nothing against “fellas”. I guess you missed the part I said I’ve loved Wiz Kid since he came out. I guess you also missed me mentioning Nonso Amadi and Khalid.
      Yeah I guess Chloe just picked a song she’s connecting with atm. Like you said, it ain’t that deep :)

      He didn’t know Burna boys name. If someone is my fave artist, I would know their name. Perhaps he was joking, but if he wasn’t, it doesn’t make sense to not know the name of someone that’s your “new fave artist”.

      @@owedepaul3423 that’s not what I insinuated nor was that what I meant. You read my body language wrong. The fact I don’t vibe with a persons music doesn’t mean they are not talented. The fact that someone doesn’t know a particular artist does not make that artist less talented.
