Tiletum in 4 Minutes!

Tiletum is the newest game in the "T" series from Board&Dice. This one is all about balance. Balance between generating all those lovely resources and getting action points to make use of each precious turn you get in the game. There are also bonus tiles galore to help power up your play as you complete contracts, build cathedrals and rub elbows with influential people at fairs. The modern Belgian city of Tielt seems to match the placement of Tiletum on the game board. The Dutch pronunciation of the city is TEE-ult, apparently, as best my American ears can hear. Another pronunciation is thee-ELT. The "th" in thee pronounced like the one in thief, not the "th" in there. This is the French pronunciation, apparently. There's actually tension between the people who speak one or the other language in the country! Since Belgium originally seceded from the Netherlands, I guess I'll go with: TEE-ult-um. I'm a word nerd!

I can attest to the fact that even Belgians had no clue about which city Tiletum was :p
Because if you look at cities with big important fairs ... I'm pretty sure there where more important ones, and many cities in belgium had a lakenhal (Cloth hall).
But there was only one city with a T in the name so ...
And Troyes was already taken :p
