You people at chalchitra talks are so receptive to suggestions!!I remember people including me suggesting Manu s Pillai to be called as a guest..and you did act upon it!!!great!!!
Manu is such an inspiring figure for young people. He had authored four books that are accessible and interesting to a wide spectrum of people. He is clearly one of the finest young indian historians. His prose is simple and moving. 😍😍😍 Thanks for bringing him on board.
I am currently reading Manu's book False allies and it's amazing. Apart from false allies, I have read every other book of his and I am a huge fan. This episode was truly amazing. The recommendations are all 🔥 Thank you guys for bringing him to the show.
I jumped out of my chair out of excitement!!! Thank you so much for this CC. Manu is as charming as ever. And his recommendations are Gold. Thank you Manu :) Thank you Vaani. Your voice is something else. ❤️
This was so amazing! I think the title is underselling the episode. I have only recently discovered Pillai's work and all his talks are really very insightful and fun to watch, just like this one. It was very interesting learning other's works that Pillai is into, and also the questions asked by the interviewer were very good. Great episode in all. I would only suggest to change the title to something more interesting and reflective of the whole episode.
What a great episode this was. I want to make a suggestion, you should continue bringing authors like this, which is very less in your channel right now. Bring an Author every week. You will see growth in your channel.
Guys, I find the guy from India in Pixels really cool, it'll be nice to hear from him. He has a very unique array of interests. See nah if it's possible! Loved this video btw
Really love the work. But somehow i felt that the interview lacked a bit of connection with manu and vani. I wished they talked a little bit about something else than jumping directly into questions.
I think a great book you guys should pick up for ABAM is 'Letters To A Young Poet' By Rainer Maria Rilke. It's a tiny book of some 50-60 pages but it's profound. You'd find yourself underlining a lot of it because it's deep and makes you think a lot about topics like solitude, growth, sex and love etc and beautiful presents it. It is a series of letters Rilke wrote in response to the letters to another budding poet of his time named Franz Kappus. I've already read it 3 times and i have picked up something new from between the lines in each of my reads. So so grateful to have found this gem. And it's a great book to gift to someone who's into reading :)
17 mins into the podcast and i have already ordered 2 books recommended by him. Its a very expensive podcast. Dont know if i should watch it any further :-)

I watch all your videos. This is the 1st of your videos where the guest is someone I've talked to in person. Felt so good. Great work.
Haha it was almost like these two were chatting on a date 😅 not complaining.. loved it.
I felt some warm tension between them.
Fascinating conversation, Manu is awesome
