Manu... people like you should be aired on radio, brought to schools for guest lectures, to colleges so that the coming generation and the contemporary generation can rise from the venomous discrimination being instilled in them.
What an eye opener! I'm not in to books but I definitely have always had fascination for history, and as the author said, wanted to know the genuine history and not some distorted version.. Looking forward more from you Manu. Thanks!
Manu Pillai must be a "Corona" showing us our place kicking out the vanity and hypocrisy we have built around us. We need many more Manu Pillais to liberate us from the clutches of Manusmritis. I loved the way you presented your research and I have bought all of your books.

I don't know what to say, History is a boring subject to me so far, you know what, I love history now..more than that I like this guy !! If he tell people stories like this, Nobody can leave and I wish this interview was much longer.
History continues to be a boring subject for majority of the youth . Thanks to our educational system ... the way subjects are thought , it cannot create passion or interest unless there is a materialistic gain (like better profession, appreciations etc..)
Manu has pointed out a correct picture of present day India and its in securities which makes its present ruling dispensation hyper nationalists and nonsecular in approach..

This guy has spoken about some practice followed by ruling class and landlords, to uphold their superiority in public. This are not very important topics for historic studies. These are misdeeds patronised by many small kings and their courtesans. I mean it has nothing to do with our Vedic tradition and practice. Some are Merrily drawing parrels to the present government. Don't get swayed by the misdeeds of some so called royal families, as our sanatan tradition. If you dig up there are numerous stories of atrocities, are they of any value, as a study material in mainstream history books, is not advisable.

Manu is simply awesome.
Loved his book 'The Ivory Throne: Chronicles of the House of Travancore.' 👌🏼👌🏼 I suggest to everyone.
History does not repeat itself, history merely resembles itself.
Future seems to be learning all the bad things from history and we seem to be moving back to the dark ages.
Future... Learning... Badthings.. From History.. Is a brilliant way of looking out..
Well done my friend. I read many books on Dadrikutty & Travancore royal family. I am eagerly waiting to read ur books.
