When I feel like it's OK now to quit, I visit Honeypot and watch the same video again to get motivated. Thank you. I still can't thank you guys for the Vue Documentary.
Amazing story! Thank you for sharing. Lea's story is very inspirational! Indeed life is too short. We need to do the things we love doing even in the face of adversity.
I knew this woman on Twitter a few years ago and WOW. Her job inspiring me a lot and I always talk to my friends about her. Thanks for this honeypot. I love your Ms. Verou.
this channel is just the perfect combo of the technical challenges that brought us all to development in the first place and the humans behind the solutions to those problems, all wrapped up with sick fkn editing and some nice tunes- thank you guys for all this awesome work
@@Honeypotio I think documentaries about game dev topics would be very popular. Could cover popular game engines and outstanding devs like John Carmack, that would be epic.
Why do idi0ts have to bully smart kids? Why is it so abnormal to be great? To have a purpose? To do meaningful things even as a kid? When I hear that she was the one that everyone else bullied I just have a little less faith in humanity, in our lack of abilities to teach kids to be curious and that's the best thing they could ever be: Curious!
Such an awesome video as always but in my opinion, documentaries on products and frameworks and companies are so much more inspiring, at least to me, since RUclips is just filled with such personal 'hardship' videos. Watching Vue or GraphQL was inspiring on a whole different level! Love you guys!
Love you too! ❤️ But don't worry, we got some INSANE new content in the pipeline that I know you'll love 😏 we are working on a massive documentary that is super secret. But I can tell you that we are collaborating with companies that rhyme with Boogle and Glamazon. 😉 Promise not to tell?
It's not mentioned in the video, but Lea Verou is actually the creator of a really interesting framework called Mavo that lets people create apps using pure HTML and CSS (via importing a script tag). It's mainly targeted at non-developers and students, but could also be a nice tool for rapid prototyping or creating small apps for personal use. One of the really cool things about it is that you can very easily add simple data persistence, either in-browser via localStorage or remotely via GitHub. Let me repeat that - you can create a dynamic single-page application with remote data persistence, all without writing a single line of anything other than HTML and CSS. mavo.io/

This is Netflix/ Natgeo level documentary content for devs & all geeks out there, pls do one on postman & other unicorn tech companies that are coming up..
Thanks for all the great content honeypot. Btw i tried to apply for software engineering internships in europe through the website and was kindly told to bugger off bcos i'm a lowly undergrad and come back when i'm a bic boi. :) i will though...
This video was more about the video itself - the shots, the compositions, the editing and the background music and less about the subject and her story. You did a really bad job because you were trying too hard to be a good film maker (to whoever shot this) than an honest story teller.

K, bye.
ok but why white theme pls no
my eyes hurt just from thinking
"A journey into software dev.." and she mainly works with CSS?
She is using white editor . Traitor

Is she a software developer or a web developer?
A web application is a piece of software
