このピアノ協奏曲は単一楽章ながら4つの部分に分けることができ、各々を楽章として、
つまり全4楽章と考える場合もあるようです。
CBC交響楽団は、1952年にカナダ放送協会(CBC)専属オーケストラとして創設され、
トロントを本拠地として活動していましたが、1964に解散しています。

It's a really great piece, a great performance.
Robert Craft wrote of this recording : "About halfway through the recording session Glenn Gould arrives... and begins to practice as if he were alone on stage. Pleading fatigue, he says he does not want to rehearse with the orchestra at all, but only to record. Though far from ready, we run through the first movement after which, despite many places not in sync with the orchestra, he pronounces the result "very good". I protest that we are not covered in measures, etc., etc., until he finally agrees to play it again. The remaining movements, in which the orchestra is sight-reading, are also taped non-stop, with insert patching-up afterward. The Gould's bundling-up process begins - the sweater, coat, scarves, cap, and mittens - and off he goes with several minutes of recording time to spare. Howard Scott, the emcee, says that I have been extremely lucky in getting this much playing time out the great pianist." (from Stravinsky - Chronicle of a Friendship, 1994 edition.) Unconscionable!
