I guess you are referring to the FM IF alignment. Each type of radio has its own alignment procedure, and this will be described in the respective service manuals. For this Bush VHF 64, the signal generator is connected to the grid of the ECH81 valve, that is the first FM IF stage and pin 2 of that valve. The voltameter is connected across C59 for the Bush VHF 64. I will clarify this in part 5 of this series.
