Tommy I am sorry for the absent, unworthy and unappreciative 'audience'.... You are worthy of so much more., 🙏💞✨🌄 Thank you for your radiant light. Don't ever stop shining it!!!! This dying world desperately needs you.
This is wonderful! I have Cherokee ancestry. I do not know if I even have enough blood in me from my Ancestors, but I also believe that if you really have a desire or a passion as I have to know my Ancestors, you can ask them, as I did, to show me if they were there. I said" Grandmother, let me know you and teach me your wisdom and knowledge. In just a few days, I had an overwhelming desire to learn about wild plants. It was amazing. Now I am learning about them. Your flute music speaks to me of healing and peace.
I was adopted as a baby, but when I was a teen I told my friends I was "part Native American'. I found my bio family, and did a DNA test that confirms what I always knew in my bones. I am also only a small %, but when I was at the Native American Museum in NYC this spring, I told this story to someone who worked there. She said it doesn't matter the amount, it matters what's in your heart and spirit. We am one. And I am so happy.
Sounds like the audience didn’t care, wish I was there he would have my attention such beautiful music I listen to his flute music on pandora all the time I sometimes listen to it for meditation just to clear my head I’m part cherokee and Choctaw and glad that I got Indian blood running through these veins ❤
It's enlightening to see someone so in tune with their spirit. The comment section and even the audience had some people who just ..arent the same for lack of a better word.
I have Cherokee ancestry but I don't have enough blood quantum to be considered Native American. However, in my eyes, Native Americans are my people no matter the blood quantum. I am very proud of my heritage and I will continue to be proud.
@@thedesertwarrior7447 what is Cherokee man? I'm only about a 1/4 from what I know anyway, though I love the beliefs and teachings and fold them into my personal system. I wanted to learn the language but it seems hard to do so as there aren't many resources available. Be blessed.
God bless you sir !. And ALL BELOVED INDIAN PEOPLE !. You have spit and passion !. And you reach me Your tunes is but just a testimony to your people that we all as Americans should know our place that this was and is your land……..always was and is sir
This was so peaceful and I could listen to it all day unfortunately the audience decided to talk instead of being quiet it looked like he was trying to find people who were actually watching and listening to him play thanks so much tommy for this beautiful music😌
This is so beautiful and he is also representing very well. He mentions out his tribe name and states including Oklahoma that helped him or supported him. This flute is amazing overall and he is so gifted. It sounds like a G note or E note maybe. But I am getting one soon. Great investment!
I am fan of Tommy s music. I love this Kind of play.Even though l am africain ,from Algérie. I love native américain mélodies.they make me relax.thank you.
I wish people would stop talking about how "peaceful" and "meditative" wooden flute music is. These are musical pieces as important as Beethoven's 5th for many cultures in the Americas. These songs have names, meanings, and histories. Many people are just too ignorant to know what they are. As an Asian person learning to play the xiao flute it drives me crazy when RUclips results show nothing but compliations of Asian flute music to help people sleep. There is a great legacy of music in the non-Western world and I wish more would acknowledge and respect this.
Stop telling people what they should think and feel. It is up to each person to determine what a piece means to them. It seems you as a flute player missed the point completely. For one it is a pretty tune and for the other it moves their soul.
my 5 generations back grandfather was chief Moytoy of the Whitetop tribe according to my DNA.not sure how much Cherokee blood i have but i'm proud for the tiny bit i DO have.also Cherokee blood runs on my father's side as well.about the same amount back.

La flauta es de las indígenas de EEUU que se llaman Cherokee. Creo que es "cheroqui" en español. Puedes buscar por el nombre "Native Ameircan Flute." Lo siento por mi gramatica si es horrible, no soy hispanohablante nativo.
I agree. If your going to come into a museum to here him play give him the courtesy of silence. I am Cherokee in ancestry. My great-great grandfather was an infant on the Trail of Tears. After he became an adult he returned to the Eastern Band in North Carolina. Some of my Cherokee people are from the Echota area in northwest Georgia, which was the capital of the Nation of the Cherokee.
North America belonged to us. The entire continent. The sad part is, however, is that the native americans probably would have kindly accepted the British into their land in open arms. But the British gave them alcohol and slaughtered them all.
If you don't like it... Then kindly move on to something more suited to your personal taste. There is no need to leave a negative comment as there was already plenty of that with the audience's blatant disrespect. Kindest regards.
@@maddienreeree from a purely musical standpoint (no culture appreciation or anything like that) this sucks. He sounds like he literally just picked up the flute. No interesting rhythms, no dynamic changes, it’s just childish sounding. There are so many people they could have chosen to better represent the Native American culture. This was an insult imo.

This audience represents the insufficient attention we’ve given to our Native Americans.
Thanks for sharing! What note is the flute set to and is it 432hz?
Wonderful video. Thank you. Would be nice to hear without neighbors and city and etc making so much noise.

Perhaps the united states' of America can gift you it's frequency of hateful voices. I got mine in Florida
The government still funding the museum or do the Indians
