Hi Bob and Jenny, this is a wonderful trip, Jenny has done a lot of research well done, little Poppy would be well looked after. This would be lovely to look into your ancestors history. Maybe one day, except we probably won't do it without Poppy and we don't want to put her through that ordeal, and it's a lot of money, apart from that...

Looks a great trip. Our fantasy trip is to Canada. Fly to Vancouver, rent an RV and then do the tourist loo to Kamloops, Banff, Lake Louise, etc.

We’re out at your “d” stop Alexandria Bay at this very moment. Fab area around the 1000 lakes. We’re staying south of Syracuse at Ithaca. All very nice if you ever decide to go. You can also fly out of Edinburgh to Newark.

Poor Poppy would miss you. She could stay with Tara I suppose. Well done Jenny for all your research, how did you find a photo of your relatives? My nephew went to the USA as part of his gap year with a group of his friends and they bought a second hand MH and drove everywhere then sold it for nearly what they paid for it when they were coming back. It worked out a no brainer for them, cheap accommodation and fuel was dirt cheap.
Jenny uses Ancestry.co.uk and people will share family pictures. Yes, if you're going longer buying an RV over there makes good sense.
Interesting costs, especially poor Poppy's air fair. As it was unlimited budget I would have expected Emirates Firsts Class (For Poppy) 🤣🤣

Jenny has certainly done her homework 👍. Now is the time to actually put this plan into action and do this whilst you are physically able........you never know what is around the corner, so go for it. Maybe Poppy could stay at home with Tara or with one of your friends?

I think I’d take the opportunity to experience first class 😁 but I love that you want to follow the family tree. My husband loves his ancestry and I think his ancestor was famous for giving birth to the first quadruplets in America. He would love to experience his family tour but I’m like you and doubt I could leave my dogs at home. When I went to see Barbara Streisand she brought her dogs on stage and they were staying at the Ritz so I wonder who transported her? If it’s good enough for her dogs it good enough for mine 😁. In fact, I think her dogs are cloned 😳.
Yes and I think that's probably why it will remain a fantasy.
