I love this song as it touches a lot of stuff about me in such a short amount of time
1. The first few sentences. I can never stop or thinking of just, things that I want or need to do. And all of them are cheap games I thought of myself.
2. “There’s nothing left to look forward to” being betrayed, and having your whole world crushed leaves you devastated. It makes you insanely depressed, making you believe in no hope.
3. “I was asleep for days, and now you’re the only thing keeping me awake” after being betrayed it feels like you were asleep the entire time the relationship happened. “Keeping me awake” meaning that the betrayer is the only thing they can think of, and it’s the only thing that “made them realize” the “truth”.
4. “The calculator will make the same mistakes, Yeah, I see it in its face.” Meaning that a person who doesn’t think of changing will keep making the same mistakes, like a robot being told to do something that it isn’t programmed to do. You can tell when someone is lying about changing if they have a ‘joking’ face on.
5. “Hold on tight to this time, this place cause everything you know will be erased.” Meaning you wish you would hold onto memories of a simpler time, of a time of fun, grace, happiness. Before you were betrayed. You want to go back. You wish you were there again.
I also like to take this line different to the meaning of the song, as more of a “hold onto your childhood. It will all be gone soon, cherish it.” Because as an age regressor myself, it was gone, and I didn’t cherish it. I was taken away from my childhood at age 8. And it was the worst feeling of my life.
6. “You were born inside your head, and that is where you’ll be when you are dead.” Some people don’t want to change. They are stuck in their head. They want to listen to only those who agree with them, and ignore those who think other than their thoughts. They want to stay in their social bubble. That is where they live, that is where they die. Some people will never change.
7. “You’re just a boy, you are no man and nobody you know will understand.” You are not a man in the state of betrayal. You are not healthy, you are not happy. You are more of a sad child crying in their room on their pillow, with nobody to talk it out to. Or, if referring to the betrayer, they aren’t a man. They are acting like a child. They are, in your eyes, a whining toddler a tantrum. Nobody close to the betrayer will understand the pain they have put you through.
Another way this line resonates with me, is again, I’m an age regressor, and I am a transgender man. I am extremely sensitive as a little, and can be vulnerable when I’m big. I never win. Nobody can understand how I feel. Nobody is me. I am a man, not a woman, and I am a boy, not a man. Nobody understands that feeling but me.
8.”welcoming you back home, the only one that you have ever known.” The only place you will feel comfort after being betrayed, is where you were still being loved. Home. It is the only place you know that you were happy. It is you had love, happiness, and comfort there. That’s the only place that has that sensation of memories.
Can also mean of an abusive household. It shows how the only home you had, was the one you grew to hate. The one you were forced into. The one you were hurt in. You can’t escape, yet you somehow, for whatever reason, want to be loved that way again. It’s because you were raised to think that was love. And you want your love.
Maybe I’m just reading too much into it.

I first heard this song on tiktok edit, from a game called Yume Nikki. ( I've been familiar with this game before ). The lyrics of the chorus fit well with the theme of the game. If you know what the game is about, the meanings of the song words are really profound. (There is really only one spoiler about the ending in the game, but in short the main character wanders in her own dreams and at the end the death is necessary): I'm sharing this because when I first looked at the lyrics of the whole song, I couldn't quite get it right or decipher the meaning behind those words. Thanks u for anyway. :3 now I can understand more
i’ve never mentioned that im a regressor in a public space before. so, i feel a bit scared leaving this comment. but as a trans man who’s a pet regressor, who had his childhood taken from him at 8 years old, it was pretty surreal to see this comment, especially considering the lack of transgender people and men in our community. thank you for sharing this with people. even if you don’t think of it much. words resonate with people.

Transmasc means you don’t identify with being Feminine,and more or less(depending on the individual)identify with being Masculine/Enby,though not every Transmasc(Me included)experience the same journey when it comes to our identity.
